So far m0nty, molly, LemmingMaster and Impromptu have offered to participate this year. Probably looking for 8-10 people to track their teams with the focus this year on guys that are willing to provide insights into their team. There's no real point tracking teams like Dr. DT who won't offer anything to the thread.

Haven't seen many of them post here in a while but if they were willing to I think the likes of Stubz, Ausyid, footylover and thebaxters could all provide this thread with plenty of quality.

Really enjoy some theory's strategies and discussion from Jolldo (high 2011 rank), NTT (high 2011 rank 6th~?), 54dogs, Skankdanker, Ausyid, Stubs (great insight probably my favourtie DT coach), Baxters (love the graphs and numbers), Impromptu (Knows how to win), Shellers (Not so haha 2nd in 2011 DT), Dylan123 (ranked well for past 2 years from memory), Director (winner of DT), Pillager (17th~? last year), LemmingMaster, Banana Bus ect

So many good people. Obviously don't want too many and im sure some of the above names aren't willing to and don't have the time.

I don't think we need the dream team talk boys they are famous but they have to much time to spend elsewhere. Same with Dr Dt. Maybe one of Molly/Monty i think one has already nominated as they provide insight and are famous.

Great bump, forgot to bump this a few days ago.

I think their will be heaps to talk about this year. The byes. The new trading rule/strategy. The initial team selections ect

Monty and myself went through our sides as they stand going into round 4 of the NAB Cup last night on the coaches box. Could be interesting to the Thread!

FWIW I enjoyed reading every coach’s thoughts/comments, but in particular the analytical approach of the Baxters, the methodical approach of Stubbz and the aggressive trade approach of footylover18, all provided great insights to different approaches to the game. So if they are willing to be involved again it is a great benefit to us observing coaches.

At the end of the day, I think the thread will be successful regardless of who is involved, as long as it has coaches willing to document the method behind their madness...

Totally agree. Hes actually one i will follow the closest. Not because he finished first but because of the way he traded last year and his starting team being quite strange.

Did he have more than skill last year? how much of the other aspect got him the win?

quite alot i.m.o you cant make the trades he made without a ridiculously bullshit amount of luck

I would be a willing participant. But it depends what others want. Also to note im going quite unique this year, maybe for the sake of it but all have merit IMO and mainly because im going away for 6 weeks over the bye time so i will struggle big time to keep up.

Also i love to post and talk dream team so i wouldn't want this thread to be about me or one person as all need to be involved but i would answer any questions ect and explain everything full haha and hopefully have some out of the box ideas and just to show people what kind of research and details i go into would be interesting i think.

Not upto me, upto others.

How serious im taking this year, im not sure due to being away for such a long time. Maybe i could be the next PeckinAway (whatever his name was? ha). I can only hope.

Hey Woofta,

There's an "infamous" poster that continues to pollute the DT forums year after year. You simply HAVE to include him so we have a chronology of his performance or lack thereof!

That was a case of perfect storm, surely lighting does not strike twice. Hell, I am super jealous, but some of his trades were interesting to say the least.

Just to give you all a tease as to my current thoughts on my team structure for 2012. These are concepts, thoughts and maybe differences to the main DT board.

1. Rookies are looking crap this year.
2. I dislike the back premiums, so I plan on being cheap in this section.
3. Midfield rookies are thin!
4. Rucks, I plan on picking two premiums and cannot bring myself to consider the rookie starting ruck.
5. Forward premiums are like sexual chocolate, love plenty and I plan on loading up here.

Those are my thoughts at the moment and depending on rookies, will change my team. I am toying with 5 premium midfielders again this season, so that will be interesting.

Looks like we'll be having similar teams this season then!

Although I jumped off 5 premium mids (that's if you count Hayes as a premium which he isn't) a little while ago.

Very surprised at the lack of good rookie options this year considering we've got a new team, one in it's second year along with the 16 other options!

I think rookie options for 2012 would have been fine if was not for injuries to key options. The only trouble now is that several of these options may show their heads early in the season not allowing for a beneficial downgrade from a cash cow. Will make it tough this season.

I agree Lemming and am following a similar structure albeit SC relevant at this stage, really should put some time into my DT this season.

Lol geez DWD you really take big noting yourself one level higher each year don't ya? Speaking on behalf of the regular posters of the dream team forum, No we don't want you in that league. Being full of yourself and posting every 5 minutes in this thread doesn't make you elite. Besides - you can only have 1 team....

I'll probably be condemmed here for taking a stance, but I really think we should cut Keystone some slack as it's boderline bullying for my mind.

I don't know about many other posters here, but KA has come along way in the last 12 months IMO and is providing some useful insight into DT conversation. Yes he is passionate and is a compulsive poster but he seems to have matured from the DWD/RT days.

If you guys don't want to read his threads then have them ignored.

Happy to attack the content of posts but let's leave the poster out of it.

Not saying we're mates or anything either bestie, just sayin!

Anyway back on topic i guess i don't really qualify as a "famous DT coach" but i have ranked in top 1000 2x in the past 4 years .

I hope to do the same this year or better it!
