Do we have to have this topic AGAIN. I'm sure the search engine will find several of these threads.

MODS - Why not make a sticky with a club FAQ. Some of the topics from the FAQ could link to threads like:

"the origin of the shinboner name"
"famous supporters"
"masterminds round by round threads"
"best players to wear number XX"

and could link to wikipedia for things like draft picks etc

In the off season, this could be something that we could put together.

Brendan Abbott - the postcard bandit, also was a locker sponsor for one of the players, Corey McKernan I think.

John Farnham, hahaha. He couldn't give a rats ar5e about North.

Spot on. Just as much supporters as the guys from Deep Purple. (anyone recall Spider giving them a jumper each in a pre-game presentation??)

Who are they ?

Stacey Kielber - Former Wrestling babe turned D-grade actor.

Seems to do her best work when standing still and doing nothing.

Hi guys,

just wondering if we have any famous fans we could get some leverage off?

I know one of the cricketers barracks for us (maybe Haydos? not sure)

Also, I think the lead singer of Grinspoon is an avowed north supporter.

And didn't Rebecca Gibney mention us in a Logie speech?

Any others?

dalai lama, spiderman, and the gopher from caddy shack.

Ahhh the Border Mail. Such a toilet rag of a paper. Albury Wodonga's finest.

Go Wang Maggies Premiers 07!

But does the Border have enough to cover Wangaratta's own Chronicle?

And on the Maggies a few are still in celebration mode after 31 years weaving their way back to the clubrooms after a lining of fish and chips for lunch. :thumbsu:

The Chronicle is incomparable for scope and coverage. Well worth the $1 or $1.20 on Fridays.

Yeah I bet a fair few of those boys missed Monday and Tuesday at work. Saw them play North Albury in the Semi when they lost and all looked lost, but it's great to see em bounce back.

Cant wait to get up there next year to a few more games, give thier clubrooms bar a flogging again :thumbsu:

The guy who played the bartender in Murphy Brown was a Roo (in the way US celebrities become supporters of Aussie Rules clubs). He is a legend of the world, but I can't for the life of me remember his name (in the show or real life).

Former Australian Federal Treasurer[and various other portfolio's] Ralph Willis. Saw him hamming it up with Crean after the first game V the Dogs this year.:thumbsu:

old thread: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324346

Ralph Willis isn't North. I have seen him on the train (got on at Newport so presume he comes from Willy) with his wife going a game wearing the other teams scarf but i cannot recall if it was v's the Dogs or the Dons.
