I'm trying to compile a list of famous Geelong fans and need help. These fans must not be former or current players or administrators, but rather politicians, entertainers, media personalities and other sport stars, and anyone well known in their field.

The list as it stands is as follows:

Politics

1. John Button (former federal minister)
2. Steve Bracks (former premier)
3. Rob Hulls (current deputy premier)
4. Felicity Kennett (former Victorian first lady)

(Not sure if Ted Bailieu is Geelong fan, I thought he barracked for Hawthorn?)

Media and entertainment

5. Daryl Somers (Dancing with the Star host)
6. Denis Walter (former YTT, current 3AW radio host)
7. Anthony Hudson (Ten/SEN broadcaster)
8. Gerard Whateley (ABC broadcaster)
9. Mark Beretta (Seven journalist)
10. Rebecca Maddern (Seven newsreader)
11. James Button (Age journalist)
12. John Harms (Age journalist)
13. Jon Anderson (Herald Sun columnist)
14. Jet guitarist (who performed on GF day - don't know his name)

I'm sure there are many more famous supporters whose names I have come across, but I just can't remember them now. Please add to and/or correct the list.

Re: Geelong famous fans

Douglas Wood (Iraqi hostage)
Matt Granland (SEN commenator)
Ben Casanelia (Inside Footy journalist)

It was great to hear Huddo on Channel 10 be permitted to let it out upon Geelong winning, it was an all round celebration of the various commentators who folow the Cats to let loose and forget their objectivity for a few minutes....fantastic!

Craig Hutchinson is not a personality.

Re: Geelong famous fans

Fairly sure Barry "THE COUGAR" Dawson is onboard.

Was a photo earlier in the year with him in the rooms after the game.

Re: Geelong famous fans

John Howard was going for Geelong. Mark Latham was going for Port. I was kind of on the fence coming into the election, but Howard going for Geelong means I'll be voting Liberal this coming election. :thumbsu:

There is a surfer who goes for Geelong...Kelly Slater I think it is. I will look it up for you

Re: Geelong famous fans

Rachael Griffiths (Muriels Wedding/six feet under)

*Sorry if it has been said and I just missed it

Re: Geelong famous fans

Pretty sure Barry Crocker is pro GFC. Although his status as "celebrity" could be questionable to some.
Also Crystal the camera dude form 'Hey hey its Saturday' always had a Geelong scarf around his camera. Again. Questionable celebrity status.
