I remember Valentino Rossi showed up at KP and was made a big fuss of....wore the jumper etc....claimed everlasting love...hahhahaa

Whether he even remembers is problematic I guess...

Should leave that sort of stuff to Collingwood, IMO. It's bad enough when interstate federal politicians are forced to declare allegiance to one side or another...just passionate supporters in this thread, I reckon.

I saw Pearce in the Frank Grey Smith bar of the MCC at the QF last year. Perhaps he goes as often as Bana/Klim etc, but doesn't want to be put up on the screen every time a goal is kicked...

I loved the piece Channel 7 did on the Chappy goal narrated by Guy Pearce. That was fantastic.

Are these for real?

I think Jessica Alba was at a Geelong game when she was down here promoting the first Fantastic Four movie and we won that game, so we should claim her too. ;)

Who knows where they get some of those from? I remember reading somewhere that Osama bin Laden is a fan of Arsenal in the EPL.

edit: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/1650069.stm

Premiership giants Arsenal have barred Bin Laden from the ground after discovering that the terrorist leader is a big fan of the club.

According to revelations in a new biography of the world's most wanted man, Bin Laden became fanatical about the team in the 1990s when he was staying in the capital.

Portia DeRossi, some actress who is more famous for being "married" to Ellen DeGeneres

I don't know if she counts as a celebrity, though.

Also, the late Happy Hammond, the children's entertainer, ran through the banner with Geelong during their 1963 Grand Final.

Re: Geelong famous fans

Drummers are close to the most important person in a band either live or recording. They are either great or crap. There is no middle ground. If they aren't doing their job perfectly, the whole thing falls apart.
That's why someone like Charley is worth his weight in gold. He can play like a mo' fo' but is happy to sit back and lock it down. Priceless!!
He knows how good he is but doesn't feel any need to prove it to anyone.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Phil Collins, the drummer for Genesis, proved very handy for them in another capacity in later years.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The amount of goals we kick in games, we couldn't show him all the time, because they would never show anything else on screen.

"Jeff Kennetts wife" is on it

That site is rather funny actually. Apparently the tooth fairy is a Collingwood supporter, and there are a few rapists who support St.Kilda. :D
