In the 1949 movie musical 'On The Town' three sailors (two played the well known Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, the other by the forgotten and long deceased Jules Munshin) walk down the gangway of their ship for shore leave in New York, and encounter a dockside worker, who jokes around with the trio and wishes them all the best for their time in the city.

The dockside worker is an amazing lookalike for actor Jeff Garlin who plays Jeff Green from Curb Your Enthusiasm, in looks, mannerisms and voice. I'm not sure who this actor was, but if Jeff Garlin travelled back in time to 1949 to play this role and then returned to the present day, it would not surprise me. The dock worker was a cheerful sort of guy, I just hope it wasn't all a front and the poor man spent the day dreading returning home to his wife - a 1940s version of Susie Green.
