It's pretty sad to see the AFL media piling onto a mad, passionate Pie fan whose IQ is probably below 80 and who's probably not playing with a full deck.Even with the tweets calling Essendon fans "Junkie dogs" and the video of him swearing at the grand final I don't know what he's done wrong?
If it upsets you stay home.

Reckon you’re confusing Big Footy users with the general public. Most people just watch their team and ignore the noise. It’s the more obsessive fans that dissect the minutiae. I enjoy following all the details but my enjoyment of game day is much the same as ever (well, not last Sunday). There is a widening disconnect between the AFL (media included) and the average fan. It's honestly killing my love for AFL and pushing me towards local footy only.
First, they didn’t kick him out, they said they would if he didn’t tone it down, a fair warning. Second, there’s video of him at the footy shouting f... these f...... c...., let’s get these c..... That’s not passionate fan, that’s anti-social arseh*le. Other people have a right to enjoy the football with their kids without being subjected to that kind of behaviour. It's pretty sad to see the AFL media piling onto a mad, passionate Pie fan whose IQ is probably below 80 and who's probably not playing with a full deck.
Delving into his social media accounts and then reposting his profane tweets is just a total smear job. Whoever did that should be sacked.
First, they kicked him out of the ground for barracking like an idiot. Now they're using their media platform to bully him.
The AFL and all their lackeys working in the media are just total c****. They really are. None of them put a single cent back into the game. They are just parasites who make a good living from football (thanks to us fans who put our money in and and slavishly follow the game.) Yet they prance around thinking they are the big stars of the show and stick the boot into the little people every chance they get.
I hate them.
Sounds like something a hipster says to a person who refuses to tow their line.
Fair enough too.Joffa was just on the radio, calling for boycotts.
Fair enough too.
Got to hit those currupt campaigners where it hurts... $$$$.
If we the the fans just sit there and accept this ******** then our game will be gone forever.
I do .Yep, and at least there we post with humour. But, enjoy this toilet.

Oh noes I won’t be able to do anti social things at the footy anymore like swearing and abusing the players, umps and anyone else that triggers me.....oh the horror

Because you can’t scream and throw out abuse and swear in a public place? And right here is the reason the game is dying.
These people are hijacking it.
Go and hug a tree my friendOh noes I won’t be able to do anti social things at the footy anymore like swearing and abusing the players, umps and anyone else that triggers me.....oh the horror

Isn't that the whole argument there though? I don't think anyone would have a problem with loud cheering and banter. Nobody is expecting people to sit there and do golf claps and quietly say "bravo". Extreme abuse or language is the problem. One thread here is going on about the game dying while this one is lamenting the death of anti-social behaviour. If you want to attract the next generation to the footy then maybe make it so you can actually bring your kids along without the fear of them being exposed to some nutter throwing out expletives. Not wanting people to be verbally abusive is one thing, not allowing loud cheering though is completely ridiculous.
Many, many people.Who can’t go to a football game and stop themselves from swearing like some feral peanut for three hours.
This is irrelevant to what I posted about the media's treatment of the Magpie fan and their high-handed contempt for rank and file football fans.First, they didn’t kick him out, they said they would if he didn’t tone it down, a fair warning. Seems like this Collingwood bloke doesn't want to talk to the media any more now they've found out he has form.

Do we have proof that’s all he was doing? Jus taking him for his word seems strange when others haven’t been taken on face value in their statement ( I.e disabled guy punched at the game). Not wanting people to be verbally abusive is one thing, not allowing loud cheering though is completely ridiculous.

Settle down snowflake it has always been anti social behaviour
How many of these supporters that say they are boycotting games are members?
