a guy i knew who had a massive beard got kicked out of the pub one night, and he was so pissed off they wouldn't allow him back in that he went home, shaved his beard and the bouncers didn't recognise him.

If it can work at a pub it can work at the mcg!

My uncle got suspended for five years from a suburban Melbourne league of having any sort of position in a club or league basically for doing what Paul Roos did a few weeks ago except that he was a trainer and not a coach.

Despite this leading to five years of me taking the piss out of him, he said that he was allowed to attend games, but if he stepped foot on any ground where there were matches from the start of the day when people start arriving for the games (say 19s, ressies, seniors) to the end of the day when the last person left, if he was caught by a official, he would be prosecuted for trespassing and all that sort of stuff.

His ban is over now and I've seen him be a trainer again. No more punch ups though. :thumbsu:

But the bigger the club, the harder to police. If you've been told you're not allowed at your local footy league, all you're doing is giving your club a bad name and you will be made to feel extremely unwelcome by club members who take umbrage at your behaviour.

But in instances like that North Melbourne cheer squad guy who pushed/slapped Motlop in the back, I thought it was funny how people were saying "no five years is extreme, two years should be enough." FFS, who'd even remember him now (less than two months later)?

At soccer games in Europe (or at least in Greece) there are CCTV cameras at every entry gate with people "upstairs" watching them.

If they see somebody who looks even remotely close to somebody blacklisted- the local police/army (who guard every gate with AK47s) will pull you up and ask you for ID.

At one game my brother was randomly asked (probably because he looked like one of the blacklisted hooligans). At another game we saw a bloke get pinged as he tried to enter (he was wearing a hoodie) - after slapping him around abit (in public, mind you!) they dragged him away by the hair and threw him into the side of a nearby car.

It was pretty unreal at the time.

Thats odd, the Greek Army uses the H&K G3 & the Police use the H&K MP5. I suppose some private guards or some special unit may use Kalashnikov's. Given that Bulgaria produced variants of the AK-47, including the AK-47M1 (an AKMS in 5.56 NATO), they would be very cheap for law enforcement to buy in Greece.

OK psycho...

:D

When you are banned from a stadium you are served with a notice of trespass. By receiving the note you are accepting that as your official warning on the stadiums belief that you WILL trespass onto the stadium.

They don't really monitor it in anyway too extreme, but should you be found to be in the stadium (ie Recognised by security/police or media) then you will most likely be charged under the trespassing act to a hefty extent.

Thats exactly what I thought.

Would there be something where you couldnt buy tickets in your name as well?

One of the better stories I've heard in this regard was about The Skull, a St George Dragons fan and neo-nazi (jailed for bashing a journo I think, quite out of step with the Dragons supporter base). He got banned from Kogarah Oval for yelling racist shit at the Aboriginal players in the St George lineup, so he used to climb the tree outside the ground in order to watch.

So the clubs solution was to just get the tree cut down!

They can't stop you - you could get someone else to get your tickets, or book them under an assumed name. But if you go in to the ground and **** up again, they can fine you a hell of a lot more because you're banned.

Must be related to this guy!
