My mate and myself have been inspired by the NBA 2011 All Star fantasy draft, we conducted our own fantasy draft for the past 20 years, therefor allowing any player who has played from 1990 onwards eligible. We then realised we needed some way to judge the two sides, and who better then the bigfooty public!

Team A:

FB - G.Wanganeen D.Fletcher G.Archer
HB - C.Bolton J.Leppitsch C.Johnson (BL)
C - R.Harvey C.Judd S.Black
HF - J.Hird J.Brown N.Reiwoldt
FF - B.Johnson G.Ablett Snr G.Ablett Jnr

R - D.Cox M.Riccutto S.West

Int - N.Buckley M.Pavlich B.Kirk

Sub
- A.Koutoufides

Captain - B.Kirk

Team B:

FB -D.Morris M.Scarlett B.Scott
HB - A.McLoed G.Jackovich A.McKay
C - P.Matera G.Williams B.Cousins
HF - B.Harvey W.Carey J.Akermanis
FF - M.LeCras T.Lockett J.Dunstall

R - J.Stynes M.Voss B.Ratten

Int - A.Goodes S.Crawford L.Hodge

Sub - S.Silvangi

Captain - M.Voss

You be the judge!

If they played off against each other.....
Team B only because they have a slightly better defense than team A IMO.

Wanganeen
or Morris
Fletcher or Scarlett
Archer or B. Scott
C. Bolton or McLeod
Leppitsch or Jakovich
C. Johnson or McKay
R. Harvey or Peter Matera
Judd or Williams
Black or Cousins
Hird or B. Harvey
Brown or Carey
N. Riewoldt or Dunstall
Brad Johnson or LeCras
Ablett Snr or Lockett
Ablett Jnr or Akermanis
Cox or Stynes
Ricciuto or Voss
West or Ratten
Pavlich or Goodes
Buckley or Crawford
Kirk or Hodge
Kouta or Silvagni

Team A: 10
Team B: 12

Silvagni is better than Kouta, but as a sub Kuota would be much more effective

Team B, the spine is 4 (Scarlett will be one soon too, so thats 5) of the all time greats. The centerline is also better.

If Team A really want to win this they will need to play the boundary much like Collingwood do. Hird, Riewoldt and Jnr will need to get right up the wings to recieve the ball from Wanga and Johnson. Cox needs to run Stynes around the ground because i think Stynes will beat him at the stoppages.

My only worry from Team B is that McLoed is not a shut down defender and someone like Hird would trouble him taking away his running game. I think If Team B get on top early McLoeds run will be a big factore, but if Hird gets out of controll Team B will need to make the sub to put SOS on Hird.

Team B by 23 points.

Should be a cracker of a game i cant wait, will foxtel be showing this game live apart of the new deal?

How does Mark LeCras and Dale Morris make the teams?

Darren Milburn and Stephen Milne are 2 immediate options that come to mind that have had far superior careers to date in similar positions.

Jarman, Wellman, Modra, Lappin, Mitchell, Mark Johnson, and a dozen others in front of both of those two.
