Well, it's just Bourky that we're waiting for to select his manager.

I've started editing the squads into FM, should have that finished by Tuesday or so and I'll create a new 'match' thread when the time is right.

So 16 teams makes it a 30-round season yeah?

Is there a cup competition as well? 16 teams works perfectly for a double-legged elimination format.

Not sure about a cup competition (see what others want) - but what about perhaps 3 seasons instead of 1? And then to gauge an overall winner at the end we can add together the points from all 3 seasons?

How often would games be played? One game on a Sun night and one on a Wed night maybe?

Probably 4 a week. I see no reason for it to be any less?

Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun seems pretty reasonable to me.

1 per week, 2 if there's a fixtured round of mid-week EPL games.

I propose:

- Three seasons of 30 games, comprising of 4 matches per week.

- Transfer budgets at the end of the first season (randomly generated by the game depending on finishing positions and other factors)

- If wanting to buy someone that's controlled by another manager in the game, the two people must come to an agreement and both must post the agreement in a transfer thread

The less games per week = greater build up to the next game. Not that it matters for me, I won't be here either way. Here are a few ideas for a format.

#1: 30 game league season + BigFooty Cup (2 R16s, 2 QFs, 2 SFs, Final = 7 games); 37 games @ twice a week = 18 1/2 weeks or 4 1/2 months. [Sun and Wed]

#2: 30 game league season + BF Cup (4 x 4 groupings, round robin, top two teams from each group advance = 6 group games + 2 QFs + 2 SFs + Final = 9 games); 39 game season @ three times a week = 13 weeks or 3 months. [Sun, Tues and Thurs]

I'm a fan of 4 matches a week, I think that's a good number.

We have two options with that:

1) 3 seasons - most total points from the 3 seasons wins

2) Single season + cup + finals series

eh, not a fan of 3 seasons nor anything involving a 'finals series'.

One season at a time imo with league + cup. Review at the end as to whether ppl want a new draft/comp or introduce transfer budgets and dealings.

Yep, 1 league season with a cup competition, review at the end of the season, to see if players want to buy/sell.

If some teams have some retirees, they can enter a draft amongst themselves to get some new previously undrafted players in.

My whole team will be injured in the first training session. Van Persie, King, Robben, Bosingwa and Theo are all massively injury prone.

In all seriousness, if you want a stat on a player then just ask who. Half of us here have the game. Can always do a screenshot and imageshack it for everyone else to see.

Your side has the best ratings I've done so far out of 5 teams

It's pretty balanced, no real standouts (apart from Messi obv) or weak links.

I say one season for now and 2 games a week (Wednesdays and Sundays).

Cup matches on Fridays.
