Interesting. Gonna be curious to see how that might work.

The bench is rotatable. So there's no reason I can see why you couldn't.
No I take it from what I posted you can. :) I just thought it would be like previous years when your recruited a player it locked them into that position.

I think it's a smart idea.

You need to have another ruck forward, to play Cox in the forward line I believe. hendo8888

Q: You have player X available in the competition as a Defender and a Midfielder. How come I can only select him as a Midfielder?
A:You can usually name a player only in the position that you selected them in.
However, IF, for example, you have a Defender who was selectable as a Midfielder AND a Midfielder originally also available as a Defender, you may now SUBSTITUTE the two between positions.

So when you draft someone, you effectively lock them to that position? Even when there's a floating bench?
That's just ridiculous. You'd think they'd spell that shit out in the FAQs.
In NBA, you have a floating bench and you have DPP. So I have Millsap that's a SF/PF, Jefferson that's a C/PF, Matthews that's a SF/SG and Then I have a straight C and a straight PF and a straight SG. I can play Jefferson, Millsap, Matthews and the SG, or I can play Jefferson, Millsap, Matthews and the PF or the C. Or I can play the C with Jefferson, Millsap and the SG. And so on with all the different possibilities. That's what a floating bench is, I don't understand why that wouldn't be the case here too.
How many people are going to get screwed over by this bullshit rule once the draft is over?

So now I'm stuck with Sandilands and Cox, the 2 best rucks in the league and I can only use 1 of them. Even though one of them can perfectly well play forward.
Unless I throw away another spot on my bench for a F/R that I can't use.
My local league team is pretty much ****ed too.

Thats the way I read it.

"You can usually name a player only in the position that you selected them in.
However, IF, for example, you have a Defender (Ruckman for this example - Dean Cox) who was selectable as a Midfielder (Forward) AND a Midfielder (Forward - lets say Ryder) originally also available as a Defender (Ruckman), you may now SUBSTITUTE the two between positions."

So if you place Cox on the bench, unless you have a Forward ruck in the forward position, you'll only be able to swap him back into the ruck position.

Trades, baby.

[thumbs up]

Hold Sandi for a few rounds and you suddenly have a big trade asset.

C'mon Bacon8, lets get this moving.

I'm gonna give my feelings on each team so far. Each player has been rated by what I feel they will average. Over 100 gets 10 over 90 gets 9 and so on. Bear in mind, some teams have had one extra pick.

Allefgib Bigfellas Brutes 71 from 8 players
Coopers DIY Brainsurgery 72/8
Hendo8888 KnightsofArlandia 76/8
Bacon8 Bacon Persona 75/8
DangerSloane Crack Smoking Monk 71/8
Danoz Whattsa Madda Wiyu 74/8
Hdecure #PattyVeryQuick 74/8
Geoffa32 Puppet Masters 63/7
Kristof NY Assclowns 63/7
VanR88 Vanr88 Pioneers 66/8

Totally my opinion. I think the draft game showed that my opinion was different to most, so make of it what you will :D
