I consider this draft tampering Kristof. Im tempted to fine you $500 and strip you of your first 2 picks for both this year and 2015 for this...

Dont worry, I wont count his vote unless he actually votes himself. Cant go ahead and assume decisions for people, kind of defeats the purpose of a voting system.

Dont worry I know him quite well. He's aware.
With position changes its even either way, theres some debate as to the difference a captain makes I realise, but I have played leagues with and without and theyre always better with.

As in a league is more fun with captains?

If he wants his vote to count since its close, you could maybe text him and see what his position is?
 
I'm easy on position locks too.

I kind of like them for variety and interest sake. It helps if you have a coach like Vossy change someone's role - at least you. An move them down.

I'm not willing to put my neck on the line. People will think that im just saying it either way.
Shouldnt change now anyway its too close tot he draft
i think if you change anything within 2 hours it makes u pick a new time.

Well at this stage it looks as if both captains and positional locks are changing
 
However, I am worried that Geoffa has pick 2 and hasnt been on here. I know the votes as they stand are against captains, but it may be a bit harsh on both him Texas Danger changing a rule like that so close to the draft, despite them not being on here to check the discussion (realise Texas is busy so not his fault).

Currently at 7 votes without mine, no captains winning out.

I could vote to make it 8 overall and 4 a piece. As i said from the start if its even we keep the same rule.


Ive actually become more open to the idea of no captains and really dont mind, however as I said, im a little worried about Geoffa and Texas, not knowing about this until a couple of minutes before the draft

UPDATE: In season positional changes are now on as requested by majority of the league.


Still undecided on this captains issue...

I can certainly change settings right up until draft time, just changed player positional changes.

Im just trying to be fair, and despite the votes Im not a fan of changing something like captains which can shake up your whole draft strategy out from under some players noses. That's the issue for me.

Okay guys with there being under 40 minutes til our draft gets underway Im going to have to step in and make an executive decision that is fair on all players in the league.

Im going to vote for captains on, therefore evening up the votes and thus resulting in captains being ENABLED.

Kristof Im not gonna lie, you raised some good points and had me going back and fourth. Having played captains every year, I genuinely would have been keen to play a non-captains league for a bit of a change up, the players taken in the first round could have been quite juicy.

However, we have players like Geoffa who doesnt even know about this suggested change who has pick 2 in the draft.
Bacon8, while he did vote for captains off, would have had all his pre-draft rankings etc set for captains enabled and we dont know whether he will have to revert to using them or not.
Texas would also be coming home from work and have to completely change his draft strategy that he had in mind in the blink of an eye.

I just dont think its fair on ALL ten players to go changing a key factor so close to the draft. Even though it should be the responsibility of other members to check this thread constantly if they are going to be committed to this game, we all know that life can get busy and we cant be too harsh on others.

Therefore captains are staying on for this season. Take this as a lesson learnt for next season to be more organised!

Nah, I don't mind.

Though it changes my draft strategy a fair bit.
