Fantasy NBA

Is anyone interested in doing a Fantasy NBA league, similar to the NFL and soccer ones some of us are involved in?
If so I (or anyone else who wants to be the commish) will set up a league and post the details here.

I play Virtual GM (General Manager) on the official NBA.com website, its totally free and a heap of fun. I can set up a league there for us if you want.

If you want more info on VGM just ask.

I will be playing it in public leagues anyway but a bigfooty league would be fun.

ok, i've signed up to the yahoo fantasy bball league...

the paranoid androids have been put to rest this yr..

the new team are The Jarvis Cockers...

hey, i like this style of fantasy bball.. where we have head to head matches, rankings based on wins.. etc.. proper trades.. a proper draft (so that not everyone can select the same players!)
and more importantly, can select rosters 1 week in advance... saves going on to select players everyday...

thsi yr... can choose to either do it daily, or be in the weekly comp.. (locked in for the week)...

weekly sounds great to me.. ~~ just hated missing the daily deadline.. and getting jack all points for a day... ~

It seems I messed up big time wasting my first pick on Iverson...it's the first of this type of Fantasy NBA game that i've played and now I read everywhere that he shoulda been a second rounder at best. Oh well I had Shaq and Vince before him but of course they had to be the first 2 picks! Also ended up with about 5 SG's so i had to make some changes there.
Very happy with MJ in the 2nd round, especially after his overnight performance; and Kenyon Martin, Marc Jackson & Jason Richardson were handy finds on the FA list (didn't notice a certain G.Hill was on there though, and now he's been snapped up!) ...but overall I think the Collingwood Pistons are in for a long season.

webber, k.malone, duncan, jamison, anthony mason, laphonso ellis... dumped the last two...

managed to pick up nazr mohammed, danny fortson, rookies kwame brown & shane battier in the free agents list~ yay..

really in need of a high powered PG... anyone offering marbury, cassell, or brandon ?! got stoudamire, but isnt as potent... managed to pick up white chocolate, but not sure if he will be as consistent... fingers crossed..

Hawkfan if i were you i would look into picking up Danny Fortson..he will put up big number sthis season. Not 16 and 16 but more like 15 & 11 but still very nice numbers...

u may have trouble getting in, as this league is full, and draft has been conducted...

u can still sign up, and get put into a public league, or join a league that still requires numbers (check on message board)..

was thinking of starting another bigfooty league, for those who missed out... and i think a couple of guys at work were keen to play, after i was telling them about this yesterday...

Oh nah, that's o.k. It's my first time doing one these anyway and I have to wait a few days for my draft to come through so I joined the public thing ?? Maybe with a season under my belt I can do it properley next year.

Coxon, i really want to play but not in a public league i would rather go into a private Bigfooty league, more fun with guys you know and you can banter with, if you have numbers i would most certainly be up for a league.

OK! I have signed up and am awaiting the draft. All very foreign to me as i am a first time user of Yahoo's fantasy setup but im sure ill figure it out and get used to it.

I did my preferred drafting sequence for about the first 30 players or so .. so ill see how i go come draft day.
