Alright i know some of us are playing fantasy football with the NFL, so now im wondering if you guys wanna get into some fantasy Bball. NBA starts on Oct 31st so if anyone wants me to get a league up and going give me a holler if not then ill go solo.
I go through Virtual General Manager at www.nba.com its pretty basic you start with 100 points and you pick 5 players one at each position, Point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and Centre. Each player in the NBA is worth a different amount of points and that will vary on how well they perform during the year.
Its scored like this, say for instance Shaq scores 22 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 4 turnovers and he shoots 6 out of 9 from the free throw line and 8 of 14 from the field. Ok.
You add the positives like points(22) assists(2) rebounds(12) blocks(2) and steals(1) which makes 39.
Then you add the negatives like turnovers(4) missed foul shots(3) and missed shots from the field(6) which makes 13.
Then you take away the negatives(13) from the positives(39) and you get 26.
So Shaq scored 26 VGM points for that game.
Every player on your team is scored that way and your coach gets 5 points for when his team wins and 0 points for when they lose.
So thats how its played, people with fantasy gaming experience should have no problems and its easier to get than the Fantasy NFL so if you guys are up for it tell me but be quick cos the NBA season kicks off in like 10 days or so.
