Multiplat Far Cry 3

Caved in and bought this last night. I'm going to be a busy boy over Christmas break. Lot's of Xbox 360 & Wii U games to play!

I only had half and hour to play last night so I'm just about to start the first mission after setting off the tower and collecting my first set of leafs/boar.

Really like what I've played. Will sink my teeth into it over the weekend.

One other thing, I'm pissed off though! I was holding off on this game and then my mate text's me. He tells me he is going to pick up Far Cry 3. I thought to myself, this is going to be too much. I want this game and now every time I look at my friends list I'm going to see him playing. So after work I bit the bullet and go buy the game. Couldn't play straight after work so I popped on around 8pm and he sends me a msg.

"Don't like the game, I'm going to take it back tomorrow".

lol, ****ing prick!

Oh well, I was planning to do co-op! Now I'll just single player it!

It's anything but small. Far Cry 2 would've been around 15 hours (mainly due to the slow pace and movement. There wasn't much to do outside the story missions either).

I won't be 100% after 25 hours. Still got 25 missions to complete, that'll take a number of hours within itself, especially considering I have 13 done after 16 hours. The % system is weighted relatively poorly.

Well that's shit, I needed 4 dingo pelts for my lootsack, finally got them and just pushed start, craft without looking. Seems I could also upgrade my rocket pouch for 4 dingo pelts and it did that! now I'm back to zero and I still need to upgrade my lootsack

Just been running around hunting and liberating shit.

The plot looks good as well.

I highly recommend you take the pill in the cave, when you get there each time. Pretty sure these are miss-able, but they give good insight into the characters before everything went down...also has some funny douchebag moments.

Not sure how many you can do in a row, but I just did two and it gave me more. Maybe you can just keep doing them until you get through this stuff? Not sure. (seems it was 2 for that specific part in the game)

I'm more scared of cassowaries than sharks, Komodo dragons are bad too. I felt bad killing the tortoises.

It's annoying how you have to stand at a particular point to skin an animal

I've only played for an hour. Love the setting so far and the story has been pretty intense.

finished in around 23 hours. I had a heap of fun but I'm sort of glad it's over at the same time...really started to fizz out towards the end.

For some reason I thought I'd been over about half of the map then I zoomed out and scrolled down and realised that I am about a quarter of the way through, if that.

Seriously loving it though. Am at about 15% yet only done about 5 missions.
