Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon 50% off, so i picked it up.

Holy ****! I played 10 minutes of it and am already loving the 80's throwbacks. I had the cheesiest grin on my face in the opening helicopter scene, shooting the minigun with the same song that was blaring in the helicopter from Predator.

Going to be a shitload of fun. How long is this game by the way?

How are you aiming to play?

There are only 7 story missions so you can finish that part in 3 or so hours (not sure as I played them all over the shop). But if you are going to do the outposts and bonus missions it'll push out to about 10 hours.

I recommend doing the extra stuff to get the upgrades for weapons.

It was just showing on the dashboard of my Xbox when i turned it on, but i live in the UK, so i'm not sure if it's just on sale here or worldwide?

It's not as long as FC3 but you'll get around 10 hours out of it.

I loved this game, one of the few games which made me laugh multiple times. The last couple missions/cut scenes were fantastic.

The DLC is the third best thing I've played this year. But I haven't bought Rayman and GTA is still to come.

Just borrowed this from a mate and having alot of fun with it... Love getting a good shock when a tiger/shark or croc gets me when im not expecting it...

**** this game. Never got to finish it because of the stupid Rock glitch. Updates never fixed it. Shame because i was loving it.

So bought this game on PC and after much work on missions etc it deleted all my saved files.
Suffice to say I will not be using uPlay for any future games.

That sucks bloke... Im really enjoying as filler till i get a ps4. Brutal take downs and very varied aswell for a fps. The death from above takedown def my favourite. Really getting into the hunting challenges aswell. Taking down bears with a tiny sub machine gun had my heart pumping

I don't always raise old video game posts from the dead, but when I do it's for this one. I've never played a Far Cry game before I saw a used copy on sale at EB for 12 bucks a week ago. I bought it for my undying zombie PS3. I effing LOVE this game!!

Also got F.E.A.R but I haven't touched that one yet.

Far Cry 3 was great but it didn't age well.
I tried to play it again a little after this gen started but before FC4.

Blood Dragon is the shit though, been playing that on XB1.

Fc3 is still on my play list even now (on pc)

I've been using ziggys mod and it's so much better than the vanilla game

Fc4 is still great for a replay every now and then as well

I hated the travel but I always loved Far Cry 2's combat mechanics. Charge in like Rambo, kill a few, run away from the compound. Use the flame thrower and torch the area outside the entry you ran from. Wait and watch left over enemies chase after you.

Laugh maniacally as they run through the flames and die!

I remember when i first played Far Cry 2, the game's world felt huge at the time!
The story was pretty vague as well, just ''find the jackal'' not necessarily a bad thing but it had a different vibe than later FC games.

Far Cry 1 was amazing. Remember my mate had a a beast of a computer at the time and I'd go there and play it and I always remember thinking how amazing the graphics looked.

Im hoping whatever's next for Far Cry has the same sort of buzz that Far Cry 3 had. Far Cry 4 and Primal were fun, but were pretty much the exact same as number 3. Hoping they come up with something new and exciting like this game whenever they release Far Cry 5 (or 6?? not sure)

The day night cycle was the best part of that game. And the npcs resting to the weather and the time of day was great

Meant you could go sleep until nightfall and then hit up the mission when it's dark and blow shit up when their resting and not doing much
