Do you ever wonder what presents are given (if they are) to retiring footy players?
What do you think their club's should give them and if the supporters were given the opportunity to give a present, what would yours be?

My list for the club would be:-

* A medium sized trophy of a footy player kicking a footy with year start to year finished engraved.

* A plaque with the number of years and stats engraved.

My list as a supporter would be:-

* A photo of me wearing full club colours and signed.

What are your ideas???

A replica (or the real) guernsey that the player wore in his first senior game. If he played for several clubs, several jumpers!

Good idea AFTTT!

Another could be a special card to access unlimited club merchandise for him and/or his family.

That would have to come from the footy club officials!

For Dale Kickett, all those jumpers and a new wardrobe for him to put them in

If a player is a retiring champion of that particular club, then I feel the best thing that can be done for him is to find some way that perperutates the memory of him playing.

The AFL do this at a competition level with the Hall of Fame. I would appreciate something like this at a club level.
