hehe, fantastic. The cohen Bros always deliver.

Geeze, Ted Dansen is looking long in the tooth. I can remember when he was a young relief pitcher for the Red Sox. Makes me feel old.

Well he is 67, don't think he would look as old if he didn't have white hair and/or the beard.
yeah I guess it was the beard. I had to do a double take to make sure it was him.

Apparently the premiere on SBS is a feature length double episode (ep 1 & 2) so by the time it reaches ep 3 SBS will pretty much be in line with the U.S.

It starts on SBS Wednesday the 21st Oct 8,30 double episode. But searching threw "active" on fox it had that blasted sneak preview put up about 4 times on different dates . But I have record set now, for 8.30 next Wednesday, sometimes its hard to find what the hell is going on, on Foxtel.

I watch Silent Witness and all the New Tricks stuff. And thank heaven the shows are all separate investigations because I am watching these things in bits and pieces from different series numbers on different channels, and confusion is not a strong enough explanation word, to use to describe me going crazy trying to link them up!

As my wife said - hasn't missed a beat at all from season one. No drop in quality, same feel.

Loved it. I didn't want the episode to end and look forward to the next!

Also loved seeing baby Molly with her old man.
Stop it you techno experts I haven't seen it at all yet!??? I use that old last century contraption , its a TV set!

Yep. Been good. Might have to get some golf in on the weekend.

If it rains I might have to check out season 1 of this show. I saw the first couple of episodes and then something happened where my cable provider couldn't show it. With a different provider now though and have all episodes on demand.

No worries, the first series was a gem. I am looking forward to this one. Enjoy your golf.

And your club got Dangerfeild back to open your window. Take it easy mate.

My mob might have stolen Carlisle from the Saints?

That was a killer opening episode. I was super nervous about this after the disappointment that was True Detective season 2, so I'm glad it put all my fears straight to bed. There was a lot of stylistic flourishes that were a little off-putting for me at first (like the music over the opening credits scene) and the split-screens, but it really fits in well with the time period it's set in. I'm very intrigued in all the different storylines too.

That moment when Lou let his feelings about his wife's illness overwhelm him was heart-breaking. So simple, yet so poignant.

Also, does anyone think they used Walter from The Big Lebowski as a bit of an inspiration for Nick Offerman's character?

A seriously, seriously good first episode for season 2.

I was a little nervous when I heard they were making a second season - the first season was brilliant and I thought it would be a challenge to live up to that with a brand new cast. Any fears I had are now allayed.

Still maintaining that perfect balance of humour, humanity, intrigue and brutality :thumbsu:

Talking of double takes, it wasn't until about 2/3rds of the way through I realised that was Kirsten Dunst, looks like her & Todd have really packed it on for this show.

Great return for a great show.

Finally got around to watching the first episode and wow that was great! Well worth the wait and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Kirsten Dunst is cray.

Solid ep yet again.

Love how intense the entire show feels. The confrontation between the officer and Mulligan was very good. It looked to me Ted Danson's character looked fearful as he was walking back to the car.

The scene with Gus & Lou definitely had its moments too.

Yep, read an article where she said she basically just stayed in her Calgary hotel and ate pizza.

Another great episode!

The scene with Danson's character pulling over the car was tense and fantastic.

Anyone else squirm with the meat coming out of the grinder??? Ick!

I'm also loving the quirky soundtrack -- that song about staying ahead of the posse whilst fat Damon was mopping up the blood made me piss myself laughing.

Episode One was pretty focused on establishing the setting, but Episode Two started injecting the Fargo style nicely.

Milligan could be the standout character for this season. Charismatic but with serious brutality potential.

That seemed to be a rather public way to go about the business of disposal.
Ed the butcher chopping up Rye ?
I thought it was odd the butcher doesn't have a back entrance for deliveries. He just parks out front and drags a body in.
