Every time I see this thread bumped up, I keep expecting news for season two.

So let's see, for the sake of that, I Google'd and season two will star Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson (seems like a perfect casting choice, imo), the mother from How I Met Your Mother, Kirsten Dunst and the dude who I can only ever refer to as 'Meth Damon' from here on out thanks to Breaking Bad. Looking good. Shame it sounds it's still seven months away. :(

Well worth the watch ...but some weird story lines in there ..why go to all the trouble of getting the bloke to rebury his Money if you aren't there to pick it up ? And why didn't he just kill him and take the cash when they were alone in the car together ...not as if he's opposed to killing.

The Oliver Platt episodes were a bit of a detour in quality and storyline. I don't remember it all too well but I think he was making right with God? He originally said he would only take what he needed to make ends meet or something along those lines.

Billy Bob Thornton as Lorne Malvo = one of the best villains this decade.
The malevolence he puts across is acting at its best. He's terrifying. And his menace is suggested so damn subtly.
Billy Bob is a class act among class actors.Hanks 's boy does a good job too, our lady sherriff well she's gorgeous.

When Martin Freeman did this show , he too let us see what he is made of. Great art folks. Chilling show.

It is one of those shows that few appreciate but the ones that see it , find it very hard to get anything comparing along those lines. True Detective is one.

I wonder if season two new characters will stand up. The feel of that show was quality , a few episodes and brilliant directing , that is how quality like these things turn up. They take their time and everything is brilliant right down to the cleaners on the set. That is real pros' at work.

Really liked season one.
Watched the movie last week liked series better.

The movie is 20 years old now. I re-watched the movie on Stan and then watched the series. Not quite the same level as Breaking Bad but it was pretty good. The money is buried again for someone else to find in Season 2! Was really expecting Malvo to catch up with Hank Jnr, the female chief or her dad. The ending was almost too happy for the rest of the series!

Don't think that will happen as season 2 is set 20 odd years before season 1.

Looks great.

I hope everyone doesn't expect another Lorne Marvo in this series and get all narky about it like people have with the new series of True Detective.

It's a different story with different characters. Looks like they are going to play for laughs even more.

That's a seriously great cast.

Wouldn't worry, one of the main problems people have with TD season 2 is that they have about 3 characters trying to 'out-Cohle' McConaughey's version.

Looks the goods, and yeah it does look like they're going for a bit of a funnier/lighter tone.
