She was pretty sexy. I ve never seen her in anything before.

Well caste for the role. She really captured the 70s look.
She reminded me a little of Natalie Bassingthwaighte and how she looked as supergrass and corrupt cop Trevor Haken's wife in Underbelly The Golden Mile series. That was set in the mid 80's to mid 90's fashion so the hairstyles were similar. And yes both are attractive.

Nat as Maria Haken

Rachel Keller as Simone Gerhardt

She certainly was - problem was I wasn't sure if I was allowed to find her sexy at first. Until the scenes with her sleeping with Milligan I thought her character was only 15 or something.

Um do you live in orwells 1984? Pretty sure we are allowed to think whatever the hell we want.

have been avoiding this thread because we've been watching out of sync, but what an amazing series, start to finish.

I think I enjoyed it as much as the first one, finish was great, 2017 is a long time to wait for the next one.

this article probably goes closest to giving me a satisfactory explanation regards the aliens in Fargo series 2.
It doesn't have anything about actual UFO sightings in that part of America in 1979 .But I like the part about the characters reactions to the UFO s being important and references to the Cohen brothers (very obscure)movie the man who wasn't there.

woah. thanks for posting. :thumbsu:

completely forgot about the lights in the first episode.

another Coens' trick, see: Big Lebowski - every song played throughout the movie ends up seguing from the film's soundtrack to the following scene (usually on someone's radio) ..
Whole second series and this scene represents the transition from seventies new agers to Reaganites.

Or Black Sabbath to Faith No More doing a better version of the original...

Love the old school Milligan ending up with a desk job like Vic Mackie.

I really enjoyed season 2. I caught the first episode of season 1 but then my cable provider stopped airing it. All episodes aired over Christmas and I finally just finished it.

I could chat about it for ages but sure it's been covered. Just so good!

My brother got me the movie and season 1 Fargo DVDs for Christmas so I've been re-watching them.I never saw the movie until SBS showed it on a saturday night in November so I never got the reference in Ep4 of S1 where Stavros, the Supermarket King,is just arriving in town and he breaks down and finds the buried money that Steve Buscemi buried in the movie :D

Well, I finally had the chance to watch this season with the missus. Show of the year imo. Bloody brilliant. I liked it even more than season 1. Those eps, what 7-9 were hilarious at times and always awesome, the writing, acting and direction, the madness, all superb!

"You gotta stop stabbing the hostage" killed us :D

So many highlights I won't go repeating all over again, look forward to season 3.

Question about season one

Did Lester's brother get convicted or was he freed ?
Not sure if it was ever mentioned
Ep 8 they jump a year,so he probably would've faced court and been convicted or set free by then.

Never mentioned. You'd have to think he got off.

I seem to recall he killed himself

The obvious assumption would be that he was released after the tapes came to light, not much point having that explicitly spelt out I don't reckon
True, but that was more than a year after his arrest.
Be interesting to know if he'd been convicted and sentenced or maybe found not guilty before the tapes came to light.
