Yeah Nicky and Wrench are a fantastic pairing and the season itself has really blossomed and become distinct from the others.

Got to talk about Ray Wise though. I probably never paid much attention to him in things I've seen of him before this year when I started watching Twin Peaks where he is transfixing everytime he's on screen.

And now watching him here, I don't even know how to describe it, but **** the bowling alley might be my favourite scene out of the entire series. Would love to see him again in the finale.

Mr Wrench is a great addition; Ray had decent novelty value but we can finally see Nikki's kickass potential when teaming up with this pro.

Show has really hit it's straps last 2 eps, but with so much still left to cover in 1 episode, I wonder if they left their run a little late.

Wonder if there will be a direct and obvious link between end of Season 3 and start of Season 1.

Season 1 happened before season 3 though...

I hope we get a Season 4.
According to Noah Hawley he's not sure if there will be another season.
“Am I sure there’s going to be a fourth season of ‘Fargo’?” Hawley said. “Here’s the thing: I wasn’t sure there was going to be a second season, and I wasn’t sure there was going to be a third season until I had an idea I really liked.

I do wonder why this show is not as popular as shows like Game of Thrones, West World , Breaking Bad, House of Cards, etc..

What do you mean. There is already a big link between the two: the deaf hitman Wrench. Though it will be ironic if Varga ends up being associated with the Fargo mob and Wrench plays a big part in his downfall and/or death. Malvo decimated Fargo in season one and by showing mercy to Wrench, he may have fcuked them over again.

Of course, I meant more an event linking the two. As I posted above I got the timeline wrong - I thought that Season 3 was set before Season 1, but now realise it's after.

Very much looking forward to the finale.

As badly needed and brilliant Mr Wrench was, I'm not sure icing Emmit 5 years later on really fits into the story arc? Other than loosely for perhaps avenging Nikki. Emmit IMO had a few redeeming qualities and could've equally been made the hero.

Only just realised the actor who plays Mr Wrench is actually deaf too, so a real :thumbsu: to him for being able to command that on-screen presence that his character does.

Final scene was appropriate too. Sorta felt this season took too long to get going and then never quite got there, but overall enjoyed it.

How is season 3 shaping up?

Just finished the 2nd season, great series.

Though I thought the characters in season 1 were a little more stronger.
Agree on Season 1.

Watching week to week this one seemed to move quite slowly with small teases at what's to come, but you get rewarded with a few cracking episodes towards the end. I think better enjoyed with a binge watch.

Probably the weakest of the 3 seasons, but quality nonetheless.

Thought the ambiguity at the end really fitted the entire Varga character too.

Dunno if this was the case for the other seasons, at least not for one, but Hawley was writing and filming the season as it aired. And it sort of showed?

For a while I thought it was building a crescendo to Gloria v Varga, only to then switch and become Nikki and Varga, but end on Gloria and Varga again. Though I found all those arcs pretty damn compelling.

If there is a fourth season, I hope they go all in the existentialism.

Easily the weakest season for mine but still pretty good. Didn't mind the ambiguous ending at all, fwiw I'm pretty sure someone that couldn't be argued with would have let him go just like Varga said.

Yeah was just a bit unfocused or something compared to other seasons wasn't it? Still no idea why we got an entire episode on sci-fi grandad's backstory only for him to be basically never mentioned again.

Nowhere near as accessible as those shows, always going to have a smaller audience.

And that's purely because it's on FX and not on HBO or Netflix? I think in this day and age it's pretty easy to get your hands on all shows.

Sorry, I meant accessible from a story standpoint ie. more abstract, thematic and generally not as easy to just sit down and watch as those you mentioned.
