Wtf was tbat last scene.

Felt ripped off after sitting through 6 hours in 24 hours.

How hot was Nikki.

Ewan McGregor awesome.

That was better than the last season of BCSaul.

Was disappointed we only got to see Nikki's arse once. Only thing I can complain about.

Not a chance, fan of Fargo but BCS2 was brilliant. You need to cool down and get over the 'Nikki' effect. It takes time

Better Call S03 is what I was referring to Barry.

Ah! Fair enough, not lucky enough to have seen it yet.

Ended up watching S2 after S3 just because S3 was streaming on SBS. Watched S2 on Netflix.

All series were outstanding and I seriously hope there's a fourth.

Only gripe is that every season has a few obvious points of similarity which are a bit worn now (i.e. the clever cop with stupid superiors who never succeeds in stopping the bloodshed, ordinary people coming into contact unexpectedly with a criminal element etc).

Still brilliant.

I know the standard of acting throughout the 3 seasons has been stellar, but I thought David Thewlis was absolutely brilliant as V.M.Varga. What a deeply unpleasant man his character was. Those teeth didn't help! Billy Bob Thornton and Bokeem Woodbine were superb as villains in seasons 1 & 2 and Thewlis certainly rose to their level.

Count me in as a member of the Nikki Swango sexual appreciation club. Good grief!

How hot was Nikki.... Ewan McGregor awesome.

I actually liked how it ended Gaso. And yeah, McGregor & Winstead were awesome... Ditto for Thewlis.

In a sense, each season has had different strengths. While I'm unsure if many would rate season 3 as the best, I could see multiple different rankings of the 3 seasons.

Thewlis was great in this and quite underwhelming in Wonder Woman. Interesting how some actors work on the small screen but not on the big screen.

Season 1 was great, season 2 was good, season 3 was OK. If they make another series then I hope it picks up again.

I think most would rank them in that order, but I do feel that BBT dominated season 1... I have a leaning to the greater ensemble of season 2 myself, if only just.

I thought Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) was brilliant in season 1.

I though Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) was brilliant in season 1.

Like most actors throughout each season, I thought Freeman played his role excellently... But I could probably list 6 actors that did that in season 2.

Yeah I am good now re the end....clever ending when i thought about it.

I'm watching season one back now as I haven't seen it since it first aired.

Seasons one and two are at times quite tragic and have a general sense of dread about them. Season three borders on outright comedy at times.

All were great. I think one is the best overall but all are memorable. I'm sure there'll be a fourth at some stage. Would be nice if they shook it up a bit as the three are quite similar in a lot of ways, almost to the point of being repetitive.

I've had to avoid this thread for quite a while, but I've finally finished the season and I really loved it. I understand why it's not super popular, but I'm damn glad that it's popular enough to have gotten 3 seasons.

I might have said this exact thing at the end of the previous 2 seasons as well, but they just seem to slot into the Coen universe so perfectly - blending the malevolent, the bizarre, the bleak, the hilarious, the confusing and the downright ridiculous into an incredibly satisfying look at the stupidity of humanity, all filmed and framed to absolute perfection.

There were lots of things I loved about this season (the Varga character, the painfully drawn out and tense chase through the woods, Billy Bob narrating Peter & The Wolf, meeting the wandering Jew at the bowling alley etc), but it did seem a little aimless at times. Which might be a weird complaint considering I thought the best episode of the lot was the one where the setting moved to LA. It was brilliant and the interwoven animated scenes were exquisitely done. It felt like Kurt Vonnegut had written it and despite it not advancing the story at all, I couldn't help but be completely charmed by it.

If it doesn't get another season, what would everyone's second choice for a Coen brothers adaptation to TV?

I just caught up with this and largely binged it which probably helps. Great quality once again!!

Loved it. It's hard to rank against the first 2 seasons but maybe just below. Better than 99% of the stuff out there though.

Nikki Spango..........FMD...........wowsers!

Well said! :thumbsu:

I thought this season was excellent, and if it's been regarded a bit less highly maybe it's because it started off a bit slowly; I remember feeling a bit underwhelmed by the first ep, and a few other people I spoke to said the same.

Just smashed through all 3 seasons in a few weeks. What a great show. Every season better than the last, or so it felt. They are all very good, but VM Varga is now one of my all time favourite villains. God almighty he was awesome. Everything about him was incredible, from his shitty suit to his rolling r's to his supernatural vibes.

Anyone else think he was a computer? VM could be virtual machine and he did seem to "log off" at the end.

Oh and Nikki Swango, FMD, hnngghhh
