Terrific actors and a few interesting things but it’s becoming a bit of a yawn for me. Narrative dragging, too linear, not exploring a promising set up.
Tillman not a nuanced villain like Billy bob/Thewlis were. He’s just a violent bully.
Do like dot and looking forward to her winning out.

That was awesome. I'm looking forward to the finale but I also don't want it to end. These characters are so good they deserve a second season.

Roy left the lights on in the dugout "Just in case". I'm guessing Dot knows about it and that's where he will meet his end.

It seemed like it was building up to an epic finale. It went in a different direction. There were some interesting scenes but for me it didn't all flow together.

Altogether it was an excellent Fargo season. Lots of great characters brought to life by skilled actors with good material to work with and interact with each other. Juno Temple was the stand out but Sam Spruell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jon Hamm all had great moments. The score by Jeff Russo was amazing, with echoes of the previous seasons. The cinematography was probably as good as you'll see on a TV show.
 
You have to admire the balls of the show runners to completely subvert the expected ending like that.

I found the last scene with Munch to be absolutely brilliant.

I know some people are going to hate it, but I enjoyed it. There was revenge, but not delivered how we thought.

Redemption at the end.

Balls or chutzpah? I didn't hate it but was underwhelmed. It was like they gave us the expectation of an epic finale but instead we got snippets of the battle followed by a succession of epilogues. Wilt not shooting Roy was also pretty dumb.

The best TV series rarely use the last episode of a season as an 'epic finale' - but as a place to tie loose ends and end the journeys of key characters for invested viewers. Fargo has done that consistently.

This season finale was very satisfying on that front imho.

I thought the finale was meh. Seriously Dot should of blown Roy to smithereens. And why do cops have to go half arse to make themselves heroes. Knew he was going to killed the minute he went after him, he also should of shot him and claimed self defense. Agree on the soundtrack. I love JJL have missed her acting. Hopefully she'll get more roles like this. I still think Roy will have the better of the thugs in jail.

Think it was heavily implied the mum was dead and buried under the windmill like danish. Dot subconsciously knew this but had buried the traumatic memory as a young girl. The scene at the camp was a dream when Dot passed out at the Diner.
the supposed postcard from Gators mum had the windmill on it so when Dot saw danish being thrown in the hole she realised it was a dream and her actual memory came back because of the windmill image.
