I disagree sabre, from where I sat Farmer had a hand in at least 4 goals and Croadie took big baby steps towards finding some really good form (Especially early).

They have done more than enough to hold their place IMO.

O agreed they did enough to hold their place but not enough for the packpacket.

He can't help how much he is getting paid. No-one would say no to whatever his salary is. They should be judged on performance, and performance alone.

I thought all 3 were good.

Headland was excellent, ran hard all say and kept finding space. Very damaging with his possesions as well.

Croad led hard all day, and kept providing an option. He attacked the ball rather than the man this week and looked much better.

Farmer had didn't have a great game but created quite a few goals and could have kicked 3 or 4 himself but he just missed a few chances.

They all had the right attitude and gave it their all and that's all you can ask for.

Face it Sabre... all the players you said should be dropped played significant roles in the win.

Des was awesome.
The Wiz worked very hard and you can tell that his team mates knew that.
Croady attacked the ball hard all day and provided a contest.

Only coz it's a home match. We should see if the same 3 can perform away too.

I thought you gave away football to watch Dark Angel, as your side didnt win against Freo a few weeks back?

Sabre is a little whipper snapper who after seeing a couple more seasons of football will be alot more wiser.

Age has it's advantages when following Freo. Having watch the Black Ducks waddle through the 70's and blossom into a crisp flighting formation in the 80's, I always look for positives in the rollercoaster cycle.

Hey I am the master of positive thoughts.
But like I pointed out Conolly isnt taking a strong enough position with the players.
He doesnt discipline them AT ALL.
Which is a worry

We wouldn't have any idea what happens behind the scenes at Freo.

For example, Croad, Farmer etc were maligned but they didn't have much opportunity. The coaching staff know how well they play from the chances they had. And other players will less salaries didn't do any more than Croad, Farmer and Headland. We just pick on them because they get paid more. As long as they put in 100%, then I'll be happy.

And dropping players isn't the only way to show discipline. I think Connolly would definitely have had a word to Croad because yesterday Croad looked far more focussed, comitted and attacked the ball.
