I just get the impression what Schwaby wants he gets and if he wants Farmer to play he will. I agree we should stick to the original suspension, but wasnt he meant to stay away from the club until round 13? All of a sudden Schwab is back and 4 weeks into it he is back training. WOuldnt surprise me if he got a gig earlier than round 13.

Schwaby's actions here leave me quite vindicated.. i always said the punishment didn't fit the crime, it was obvious that Rick Hart's ego got the better of him, and suspended the Wiz without properly considering the consequences for both Jeffrey and the club. Now that Schwab is back, he has managed to steady the ship.. and suprise suprise, Jeffrey is back training.

Is he back playing though ;)

Interesting that Farmer had to meet senior players yesterday, obviously the players had a say in the suspension and if they wanted him to come back.

Bad Rick, how dare he consult the players ;)

He didn't consult them the first time, he was probably told to this time by Schwab.

I didnt know the exact circumstances, was more of a question than a statement. I agree with you IP about making him serve his suspension etc. Just with Schwaby back he seems to run the show more than anyone else.
I was led to believe the club was run by a secret clique that worshipped Rick Hart.

Are you implying the club is actually managed by its CEO? Heavens to betsy. It cannot be.

(BTW, I'm not having a go at you pistol.)

You're contradicting yourself and then using that to come to a conclusion about Rick Hart's ego by a way of a segue that is longer than the Nile. All of which to serve you're own ego.

Earlier you said "if" Scwab was part of this decison. Now you're sure he was and somehow use that to slip in another shot at Rick Hart's ego. Did Rick Hart rip you off over a dishwasher or something?

Just meant Schwaby looks like he is the head honcho and whatever he says goes. Probably be a different story at say collingwood with sir edward (president) running the show, doubt the CEO at the pies would have much say.

Schwabb returned from overseas and immediately overruled Hart's decision re Farmer - this amounts to a huge vote of no confidence in Rick Hart's ability to handle important issues affecting the club.

How the hell has he overruled the decision, honestly??

The club said 2 weeks ago before Cameron returned they would speak to Farmer about returning to the club to train in the next week or so after him displaying good behaviour.

Farmer is still suspended until round 13 is he not.

I feel like I'm deal with idiots here.

Geez you spout some carp sometimes...

Do you really think that we, the general public, know everything that was said between the board members that day the decision about Jeffrey was handed down?

Do you know for a fact that they didn't say, "Situation to be discussed further with Schwabby when he returns"?

Can you say unequivocally that there was not a board meeting scheduled for within a few days of CS's return to discuss this and other matters that have arisen during the time he was o/s?

Do you know for sure that the matter wasn't discussed with all parties concerned prior to them meeting with Jeff and his crew on Monday?

Do you seriously think that they wouldn't have had some sort of contact during the period CS was away, and that this would have been one of the main points of discussion during any communication?

Schwabby arrived back in Perth last Tuesday according to Cameron-K's source. That gave them 5-6 days to meet together in person, and discuss any developments, to talk to Jeffrey's manager, and to decide to invite him in for talks.

To say he arrived back and "immediately overruled Rick Hart" is both naive and ridiculous in the extreme.

News
Jeff Farmer will resume training tonight after today meeting with Club President Rick Hart, CEO Cameron Schwab and General Manager Football Operations Robert Shaw.

Mr Hart, Mr Schwab and Mr Shaw this morning met with Jeff Farmer and his manager Anthony Van Der Wielen.

As planned, this meeting occurred one month after the club imposed a six game sanction on Jeff Farmer on Sunday 29 April.

“The meeting this morning was extremely positive,” President Rick Hart said.

“The details of what was discussed at that meeting will remain confidential between the club and Jeff.

“Suffice to say that Jeff has demonstrated that he has undertaken significant steps to ensure that he is and will remain a valuable member of the playing group, the club and the community.

“Jeff not only accepted the sanction imposed on him at the time but he has been thoroughly professional and committed to addressing all issues as required.

“He also met with the senior player group today and it is appropriate that Jeff now resumes full training with his team mates in preparation for his return in Round 13,” said Mr Hart.

Jeff Farmer will resume full training with the team at tonight’s 4:00pm team training session at Fremantle Oval.

I was scratching the noggin to follow the argument too CK.

Bye the way this is a nice touch; "I feel like I'm deal with idiots here."

You just get angry at the swipes several people are continuing to take at the board and Rick Hart when they have put the club in its strongest ever position.

By a very long way. In fact it is only because they have done that that we can criticise small things. I have no inside info on the club and can only make assesments based on things like are we making money, are we better on the field, etc.

The Board and Hart's main job is to get the best people into the club to run it, and apart from that, stay out of the road. Be difficult to see a better CEO out there for us. And while I'd love to have a better coach, I can't see one lurking in wait to come and save us.

I'm sure the wee-girls would love to have Benny-boy back this weekend (esp if the Judd suspension sticks... which I don't reckon it will but I digress)
Would the dirty birds bring back the "spiritial leader" if St Chris is suspended
Wait to see him at WCE training if the week is upheld

Hopefully Farmer comes back and kicks a bag in rnd 13(then has a quiet one in rnd 15)

I think it's quite amusing that we have 2 people who are so obviously anti Hart and anti Connolly, but seem to have a reasonable degree of respect for Schwab. I don't think I've come across that before. It's always been the three or at least a Connolly/Schwab combination that is leading to the downfall of the Dockers.

Belnakor or Gentleman Jeff, I'm intrigued, what is it about Schwab that you like?

It's rare in life to find two people with such synchronicity of opinion; A match made in heaven. I'm wishing them many happy years together.

I like the fact that Schwab has come back and partially helped fix the almighty ****up that was Jeffrey's suspension. Schwab obviously has a few downsides, such as being mates with Connolly, but off the field we've done well in the last couple of years, and Schwab can obviously take credit for most of that.

Keep your fanasties to yourself mate, I simply have similiar opinions to Gentleman Jeff on several issues that have been raised on this board. I would say you can your merry bunch of yes men have a closer consensus. At your freo everyone does what their told, everyone gives 100% and we're going win a premiership by doing the same thing we've done in the last 5 years to win 1 final.

I can't see GJ agreeing with that.

Would love to hear about the "yes men". Does it include the ones who disagree with me about Headland? Connolly? Johnson? Farmer? Does it include IP?
