Doggies will want more than Hartlett for Ray, and justifiably so.

But pick 24 is too much more, WAY too much more.

Also bear in mind that (in their minds) they are only one half decent KP forward away from a flag, and they may believe they could turn Harts into that.

Ray was involved in a off-field incident a few years ago that the Dogs desperately tried to cover up, however several newspapers ran the story which involved a young female and makes Fev/Cousins/Kerr behaviour look mild....I'll leave it at that. As such, I would not want him anywhere near the club.

Ryan Houlihan hits targets as well as any AFL player

How about 2 in 1? ;)
Hartlett to Doggies for Ray.
Ray + Blackwell to Freo for Warnock :thumbsu:

I was more on the Pick 24 and Ray bandwagon for Freo

Carlton lose 24 and ? to get Ray but land Warnock

Doggies lose Ray and get ? from Carlton.

To be honest I don't think the Doggies will be after an awful lot for Ray other than a tall. Freo may just do a Campbell for Ray swap.

Campbell for Ray is a reasonably even swap. I could see that deal getting done early unless Essendon gets involved (and it's been reported Ray is just as happy to stay in Victoria as he's from country WA.)

I'd rather sway away from Ray, not worth what we'd have to give up for him. He'd easily become the next whipping boy beside Russell on this forum :p

Ray will probably end up at the Tiges. He ticks all of Terry's "McMahon" boxes

1. An ex-Bulldogs player
2. Soft
3. Good at unaccountable footy
4. Knows how to implement an ultraflooding gameplan.

1.2 mil over 3 years, plus a 2nd round pick, plus an outside-the-salary-cap property deal should be enough. :)

Spoken like Miller himself :D

I hope we dont get him

I agree wholeheartedly. He had one good season (2006), but continues to mostly be up & down with his form. The real weakness in his game is lack of courage. I watched a number of Bulldogs' games this season & unfortunately saw him stop short, or pull out of contests, on several occasions. I can understand kids doing that in their first couple of seasons, but this season was Ray's fifth season & therefore this aspect of his game should have disappeared.

We have our own soft players (I don't think I need to name them), but you can generally carry a couple of them if they are good users of the ball & have good football 'nous', neither attribute of which is enjoyed by Ray.

Richmond are in the box seat AFAIK.:thumbsu::D

And they would be welcome to him as far as I am concerned...

There are much better options out there that we could use pick 24 on :)
