The young bloke who is already genocide-curious reads or sees one or two people in the public sphere make one or two jokes. He's then got a nice little trick to use in his next forum post or argument at a party. His mates laugh at it and remember that trick. It catches on as it is successful at flummoxing the normies long enough to get the next point in.

Mehdi in his encounter with the mass-debaters seems to be reverse-engineering the gish-gallop and the "just jokes, brah" statements. But it is a pointless exercise for the most part. It's just rage-baiting in the end.

Yep, I typically avoid the Jubilee videos as they are 100% ragebait and engagement bait.

Only ones I have seen are the Sam Seder one and now this one, because I respect Mehdi and Sam.

But it looks as though Jubilee were a little misleading in what they proposed to Mehdi

i think its pretty clear by now that Jubilee are not honest with guests about who is going to be on the show

I also think anyone who is involved in content creation or click media has a vested interest in going on these shows even if the result is damaging to the general public

I don't know who Mehdi or Seder are and I don't particularly care I've seen enough of how Jubilee operate now to not waste my time with them having only seen the Jorpy vs atheists one which was shared in another thread on here

I used to think the best way to combat bad ideas wasn't to censor them, but to allow them to be given a platform and then ridicule and expose them as bad ideas to the point where anyone thinking there was merit in the idea is suitably shamed and embarrassed.

But watching the Mehdi video, I'm not so sure this is the best approach anymore.
