Most of you probably won't agree with this as he didn't get 30 touches and made a few mistakes, but from what I saw of Fas down back I loved.

He provided heaps of run and mostly used the ball really well by foot. He has a fair way to go defensively, but there is heaps to work with. His intensity around the footy is something I love also.

It'll take a while and we'll have to endure a bit of pain in the mean time, but a backline of Brown, Keefe, Frost, Fasolo, Langdon, Sinclair, Williams and Sharenberg has a heap of potential.

Those mistakes that he made in not disposing the ball quick enough cost the team 2 goals and in hindsight cost the team the game.

So yeah, nice move Bucks
First game down back at AFL level so you're gonna expect some mistakes. How about having a look at some of the the good stuff he did?

And yes, i think it is a good move by bucks.........

I thought he showed a bit. He's obviously not going to be at his best after almost a year off so I think Bucks should persist with Fas down back.

Firstly I don't believe he deserved his spot last night based on what he has done in the VFL. Kennedy yes, Witts yes even Lynch had marked, rucked and kicked well.
He has now played 40 games for us and I really hoped that he had learned something. But for mine, still chases the ball too much thereby leaving his opponent.
His decision making is slow and still doesn't worked hard enough defensively. Can't understand the love. Sure he has kicked some good showy goals but not enough to say he is in our best 22.
Even when moved to the fwd line in last quarter seems lost. Sure he did a couple of good things as well but by 40 games against some of the newbies in our side should show/stand up a lot more by now.
In saying all this I hope that he improves as we really need something whilst having injuries to key players.

It was his first game for a year give him a break

He was alright down back but I hope when we get Sinclair, Marley, Seeds etc back that he returns to the forward line. Will make us all the more dangerous having another bloke that can kick 30+ goals

Yeah and the step up to senior football can't be underestimated especially when you're playing a pretty decent side
As I said can't understand the love for him but happy to be proven wrong.

Which one of Kennedy, witts and lynch was gonna come in and play a small defender role?

I'm a massive fan of fasolo's. Hes got X-factor which we severly lack in our side. Obviously has a lot to learn, but that's a positive IMO.

Hes been injured? DOH

His 2012 showed significant improvement over his debut season of 2011. Was starting to do more of the team things and be less selfish. And was gathering more stats as a result. Then he got injured.
DUH, I know that. That is why players progress thru pre-season, VFL then seniors.

And sometimes due to injury they dont get the luxury of sufficient VFL match fitness.
Well then they shouldn't get selected, which is why I said in an earlier post. "Having seen the past 2 VFL games, didn't think he had done enough to warrant selection".
