Hope the foot is alright, will be a huge setback for him and us.

Chapman tore him up in that first quarter I thought, so has a fair way to go defensively.

Best case scenario i guess to an extent. Least he hasnt reinjured the previous one that has kept him out for so long over the past two years.

How long does a toe normally keep them out for roughly? Didn't Blair have one in the off season?

I hope for his sake he gets well soon because Speedsman and Marley and Broomhead are coming!
I seriously doubt Bucks was going to keep him down back any longer than it took to get Marley back in there anyway, but it will have taught him plenty nonethless.

Neither would have had the navicular removed. That would **** up your entire foot. Scharenberg had his sesamoids removed.

If Fas is injured and Marley trains well this week, he may have to play against the Blues given Sinclair is injured. Marley would then play VFL in our bye round and step back into the team permanently thereafter. Sinclair's injury could not have been more poorly timed for him. I don't think we can carry all the of him, Tooves and Marley in the same backline and Sinclair is clearly inferior to the other two. The best balance (we play seven backs) is two small defenders who can play lock down roles with one being a runner - Tooves and Marley - one speedy outside half back with a long penetrating kick - Seedsman - a third man up/leader type - Maxwell - two tall backs - Frost and one of Brown and Keefe - and one quick thinking player with good hands and a good range of kicking skills - Fasolo.

Fasolo.............Frost...........Toovey
......................Maxwell
Seedsman, Keefe/Brown, Williams

That in my opinion will be our best setup later in the season. The fact we will have guys like Scharenberg waiting in the wings is fantastic.

I don't agree that Fas will be a forward long term. His game last week was in my opinion his best for the club and he just seems like a natural backline player to me. I love how he gives a handball when under pressure then runs past the player to get the ball back so he can give a releasing kick. He always lowers his eyes as well. The way he plays the role reminds me of Leon Davis in his final (easily his best) season with us.

The other important thing to note is playing 7 backs there probably needs to be 2 who can move from the backline and play somewhere else on the occasion we aren't playing a loose man so that would be Fasolo and Seedsman(?) -- some have also suggested Marley be pushed further afield as he has shown to have particularly strong lower body..
