I see your point and I agree Fasolo won't walk into our best 22 but him averaging 1 goal a game is probably due to him playing in the backline this year, unless you've factored that in.

In his first 2 seasons he avg slightly over 1 goal a game..You are right about this season which would have lowered his average but not by much.He played 12 games and kicked 7 goals this year.He is part of the senior group now but he needs to lift. It's make or break for him imo.Don't get me wrong i would love if he improved, that's what we need from players like him.

I agree with you that he needs to lift next year now that he's injury free (and hopefully stays it!) but I think you're being a little harsh on him. The navicular injury that he had is one of the worst that we see in the AFL, Matthew Egan lost his career because of it just after becoming All Australian CHB in 2007, Jack Trengove has just re-injured his navicular, Tom Curran from North Melbourne didn't even get to start his career because of multiple surgeries on it, so the fact that he even came back at all this year was a positive IMO. It's upsetting to think that the last time we saw Fasolo unaffected by injury was 2012 and at that stage I think most of us thought that he was gonna be a star in our forward line for years to come, he still has the talent to do what he did in 2012 and with the development he has had over the past 2 years I'd wager he could be better than that. I wouldn't say that the next year is make or break because he does have a two year contract but he needs to step up next year and get closer to the player we all know he can become.

I apologise you are right he kicked 5 against Ess in 2011.He actually had 32 touches against North this year.Should have checked, my bad.
My point is if you take the odd game out where he kicks 3 or 4 goals and or has 30 touches, the reality is he is avg 14 disposals a game and 1 goal a game over 4 seasons, hardly the numbers for a best 22 spot imo that's all.He has some talent but he needs to lift his numbers and start playing more good footy to be considered best 22.

Add back in the games he has missed through injury and the number of games he has played off the sub bench. And the number he had played in the forward pocket....14 disposals is not terrible in light of all that

And then in Fasolo's injury Elliott stepped up and stole his small marking forward spot.
