It does sting to see the first Crows father/son eligible player to play AFL to do so at another club
By eligible do you mean good enough?

That whole "slipped to pick 50+" is rubbish.Different position, we needed a replace for a small forward in Stengle and ask yourself why he slipped to pick 50+......
If he develop into those players then good on him and well done to West Coast development but first impressive from the recruiters is he was pick 50+. If he was consider as good for 1st or 2nd rounder don't you think we would have selected him? That whole "slipped to pick 50+" is rubbish.
I guess Laird mustn't be very good because everyone passed on him in the national draft.
And Pav was even worse because no one drafted him in the first year.
I'm pretty sure he's the first ever player to play AFL who has been eligible to be taken by us as a father son
West Coast didn't have a pick before the one they used on him. If they had pick 35 they may still have used it on him.If he develop into those players then good on him and well done to West Coast development but first impressive from the recruiters is he was pick 50+. This didn't stop the other clubs from selecting him with their 1st or 2nd rounders.West Coast didn't have a pick before the one they used on him. If they had pick 35 they may still have used it on him.
He was a highly rated Jr, who was seen as a bit vanilla by some.
It will only sting If he becomes an elite AFL player, until them their is no sting for meIt does sting to see the first Crows father/son eligible player to play AFL to do so at another club
Luke Edwards starting hff for eagles this week.
We picked rowey about 12 picks before him.
What's everyone's thoughts on eagles possibly winning on a player we circled for years to be at our club?
Wasn't luke the 'chosen one' out of the Edwards kids?
Vader, this was posted on the NGA father-son watch thread the other day. On the left hand side is Mitchell Stevens, son of Mark.
I am assuming that he is the older son, though that is only an assumption on my behalf. I also that BookFace themselves blocked it?BookFace is blocked here... The OP notes that Mark Stevens has 2 sons, one eligible in 2024, the other in 2026. Do we know which one is Mitchell - or is he another son who we don't have a placeholder for?
Cheers, OP updated, assuming Mitchell is the 2024 eligible son.I am assuming that he is the older son, though that is only an assumption on my behalf. I also that BookFace themselves blocked it?
If so, it is on the final page of the NGA and Father-Son watch thread, that will give you more info.

With the birth today of Roo's first son, I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread containing a list of all our F/S eligible kids.
The following is a list of all players who have been good enough to represent the Adelaide Football Club on 100+ occasions. Below each of them are their male progeny.
I'm sure there are many more that I am unaware of, so post in this thread and I will update the OP. If possible, include the year in which they will be eligible for drafting (assuming they're good enough). I did find a previous thread which gave draft years for these kids, but some of them may have changed due to the recent rule changes regarding draft age limits.
I haven't listed the SANFL eligible sires and I can't honestly be bothered doing so. We only have a few more years before their eligibility lapses anyway.

Has been discussed in another thread. Looks like another Bryce Gibbs scenario, where his old man got to 200+, but the total includes Escort Cup games. Without the night games included, his total appears to fall short of the magic 200 mark, making him ineligible.Doesn't appear to have been discussed in this thread, but there has been a large amount of discussion on other boards about Max Michalanney potentially being eligible as a father son for us in 2022. Son of Jim who played 211 games for Norwood finishing up in 1986. These are the current rules regarding the criteria.
