I am not fussed either way mate. As long as the kid can play I would be happy.

for ebert to have ever considered playing for the crows is the richest thing i have ever heard.

were not talking about mere port players like johncock or mcleod here.

yeah cause Port always treated dad soooo well.

so why is russell still playing an active roll at port?

just becuase they guy's nickname is "god" doesnt mean that he could coach - the club did the right thing & russell obviously has no problems with that.

ebert at the crows? far out you guys, sam newman may just have a point.

He did have a problem with it for many years. I am surprised someone with your nick would know so little about the man.

No one here has said Ebert would come to the Crows. Far out, Dyertribe does have a point.

Your comprehension skills are obviously well honed down at Alberton.

like i said, i think he's moved on, he's got no problem with it, moron. im surprised that youre so easily surprised, & that you know so little about the man.

no, they only thought that he'd be eligible for the crows :o & so i took it further by adding "as if he'd go anyway".

i mean, who in their right mind? brett ebert at the crows - & to imagine them even approaching him, mwahahahaahaahaa!!

Pot calling the kettle black for sure over the moran comment. Come on our board & RESPECT our posters or buggar off!

Anything is possible. Who would have thought a few years back that the Cornes boys would be playing for their Dad's old enemy?!

yeh, look, i'll pay that, but then considering cornesey never played for the crows, its also not that surprising either.

i suppose for his boys, any adelaide based team was better than a victorian one, eh?

BTW, since i havent been in adelaide for years, does cornesey barrack for port now? i mean, for the sake of his son's success? what's his "official" line?

are there any decent father son prospects for the crows at the moment????

Bryce Gibbs is 14 maybe 15 now playing u17 at the bays as a ruckman, but he would only be about 6'1 or 6'2

hahaa.... geez isnt that a LAME comeback! *claps*

i think everyone knows the ebert would have said no to the crows and go right into port....

He had a problem with Board members who would not reappoint him as coach. That does not equate to a problem with the club. Once those Board members had moved on Russell was back flying the flag.

For someone who's been riding the mighty high horse around on the Port Adelaide Board attacking comments made about Nigel Smart, that cheap shot rings a tad hypocritical methinks ...

That was an obvious inccorect reference made for humourous reasons (whether funny or not) - comparing the two issues is chalk and cheese

If it makes you feel better though - I am of the view that both Kane and Chad are male, are great footballers and I would love to have them at the Crows. Chad's stance for his mate Matty Bode was fantastic in my view.

I'm not disputing that.

I was responding to the quote below and I said he did have a problem with it (it being the sacking, not the club)

Russell Ebert is a South Australian football legend who although a Port man through and through is also a fair man

I believe he would have had no problem with his son playing for the Crows if that's the way the cookie had crumbled.

Cornsey supports the AFC but is hopeful his sons can suceed as well. Its only rarely these two comepeitng things will come into play.

I am sure he much more neutrla now than he used to be.

What you think of the Cornes boys doesn't bother me one way or the other ... but if you're going to tilt at windmills ... I think a couple of the Smart comments were meant in humour too but you still weighed in. Girl, Moron, neither are very pleasant epithets.
