im all for tradition and history, but the current situation/ selection policy, whilst fair and reasonable doesnt really excite me about getting a father-son-rule. Im many cases we will see club/ our club slightly overpaying the price for a player to keep it with history...

Understand the father sun rule... but not to sure if i like it all that much...

having said that, i dont think that Geelong would be that successful if the rule was what it is now.

Yeah, it's not the bargain it used to be, and even then we only got three standouts since it was brought in (SOS, Big Red, & Waite).

More the pity - it should never have been changed, the rule worked great as it was (OK, Adelaide might have a case). The morons who whined about how "unfair" it was s**t me. They'd be the first same morons who bleat about losing the traditions of the game, their tiny minds being unable to hold two simple thoughts simultaneously.
