AFL could have their way though, Roos and Bullies struggling down the bottom of the ladder.

i agree stewart,
only 4 players are missing from last year. and none of them had great years.
and we are equal favourites for the wooden spoon ?

Wearn't the Eagles and Cats amongst the favourites for the spoon at the start of 2002? The Eagles made the finals and the Cats had some impressive wins (notably against Collingwood and Essendon) before running out of steam.

And I don't think too many people picked the Blues as wooden spooners.
Someone will get a hidious run with injuries and that will be the difference
to be honest I think Carlton and St Kilda will most likely be the ones fighting for the wooden spoon because they seem to be the ones that continually get injured and don't necessarily have the depth to cover it

l would think the Bulldogs should be equal favorites with us for the spoon. If freo can learn to win a couple of games outside WA, then they are a real good chance of makin the 8, in regards to the saints, well they should take another step forward next year, might not make the 8, but should be knocking on the door.

Your discussion on the Bulldogs and Blues' chances for the wooden spoon have been removed because it's got stuff all to do with North Melbourne.

People will say "but you don't have Pagan the Coaching Mastermind anymore"
I think thats what people will be basing the assessment on. We were good because of pagan - without him - we will be crap.
Player disention could be a big thing though if there is indeed a problem. Without the respect of the players (which I think Dean would have) it could really be an uphill battle
(I am still positive though !!)
