Past

Peter Matera: Man was an out and out superstar. Electrifying pace, loved to take the game on. Probably the cleanest hands below his knee's that I've ever seen in a player, could scoop the ball up in one hand at full pace and just burn the opposition. Also one of the most balanced players ever to wear our colours, could hit a bloke on the tit 55m away left or right foot at full tilt.

John Worsfold: Just loved watching him iron blokes out, kamikaze like attack on the ball and opposition players constantly looked over their shoulders to see if he was coming. Was the hard bastard we needed and never once complained when he copped the same treatment he dished out.

Chris Lewis: People forget just how good this guy was. Sublimely talented and could make everyone around him just look plain stupid when he had the ball.

Ben Cousins: Second probably to Matera in players I've enjoyed watching. Just hated losing and didn't know when to quit. Say what you like about his off field troubles, was an absolute champion player and leader. Before Kerr and Judd came along Cousins was basically our entire midfield, would run multiple taggers into the ground and the amount of times he dragged our shit heap list over the line during those early 2000's was astounding. In my eyes will forever be our Captain during mid 2000's regardless of the (c) being next to Judds name, when our team needed a lift he was the one to do it. The guys around him walked taller just knowing he was out there with him.

Current

Jack Darling: Love his attack on the ball, his presence on the field and just how clever he is. Often gets a tap, or a toe to the ball to cause something special to happen, plus he can take a big mark. Also...you know ninja flips and shit.

Nic Nat: If this guy ever gets a full pre season under his belt, gird your loins. Can do things others simply can't due to his athleticism. If it it clicks for him, my god it will be a sight to behold. Even injured can produce special moments that I'll always remember.

Luke Shuey: Has every weapon to be a gun footballer, is already verging on elite just needs that extra 5%. Love watching him take the game on and break away from packs, plus his delivery into the forward is sublime.

Mark Lecras: Just pure silk, one of the classiest players I've seen play, moves a lot like Dean Kemp did and possesses that same ability to just appear to have so much time and space. I think if his body had let him would have been a wonderful midfielder but I just don't see it happening.

Being born in the 90's i don't have great memories of the 92-94 era sooo from about 2000 onwards i would say Ben Cousins with Daniel Kerr a very close second.

Of the current players i'd have to go with Jack Darling. To have his work ethic, presence and arrogance at such a young age is great to watch. Luke Shuey would be #2.
