I remember in Pokemon Crystal when one of the legendary Pokemon appeared in a wild battle thing. This shit was supposed to happen once every game save or something so because I was in the village in between the cave and forrest with the creepy guy who likes berries I only had Pokeballs and shitty Pokemons. I was pretty pumped to win this L33T Pokemon and show everyone at school but the ****er fled straight away. Shattering.

pokemon silver for me too. has the best replay value of all adventure games I've ever played. conservatively beat it 6 times and am racing a group of unemployed mates (as of yesterday) to beat it by the end of the week in our annual tournament.
I remember with pokemon red i was the first person in our year group to get 151 pokemon. that rocked.
On a console i frickin loved fifa 02 on the ps1. but cod4 is the best next gen I've played, although i enjoy playing mw2 more for some reason

The most memorable and favourite games on each console I had are:

Mega Drive - Street Fighter 2

SNES - Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Country 2, Legend of Zelda, Super Metroid

Playstation - Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil Nemesis, Metal Gear Solid, Doom

N64 - Golden Eye, Zelda, Oricana of time, Mario Kart 64

Playstation 2 - Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, Gran Turismo 3, Resident Evil 4, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Final Fantasy X, Dues Ex

Playstation 3 - Fallout 3, Batman Arkham Asylum, Metal Gear Solid 4, Guitar Hero 3

My favourite game of all time is Fallout 3.

Some of my friends still partake in Pokemon races.
I played through the first 3 generations last year in about a 2 week period. They are so damn addicting.

I remember catching all 151 in Blue and that guy in Celadon city just gives you a plaque or something. :thumbsd:

I was doing this in year 12 as well:

Digimon was the best. I had this awesome combo down with my fingers in battles and no one could ever beat me. I remember Tamogotchis (or whatever) aswell.

My favorite game is a cross between Super Mario Sunshine and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

But as far as quality goes, Ocarina of Time is by far the best game ever.

Favourite game is and always will be LOZ: Ocarina of Time.

The great storyline, graphics (at the time), locations and gameplay just make it the complete package. Can't ever forget the joy of finding new items, exploring new areas and shitting myself in the Shadow Temple.:D

My nine other favourite games in order would have to be:

2. Metroid Prime (Especially loved the Phazon Mines area)
3. GTA: San Andreas
4: Goldeneye
5: Pokemon Gold
6: Super Mario 64
7: Super Smash Bros. Melee
8: LOZ: Windwaker
9: Red Alert 2
10: Resistance 2

So many games have missed out unfortunately, can't list them all though.

Amiga - Legacy of Sorasil / Civilization 2
Gameboy - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Playstation 1 - Resident Evil 2 / FFVIII
PC - Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn / PlaneScape: Torment
PS2 - Resident Evil 4
DS - DragonQuest: Rocket Slime
PS3 - Demon's Souls

Winner would have to be BG2.

Goldneye :thumbsu:

Spent hours on the multiplayer when i was in school. Get some mates after school and play shitloads. Even got to the point where we would skip school just to play it.

Pretty good single player game as well, i still remember how happy i was when i unlocked the Invincibility cheat, meaning i completed every one of them. Took me forever, but one game everything went right and i beat it by 10 seconds.

Special mentions to Ocarina of Time (which i think is the best game ever, but not quite my fave as Goldeneye had better replay value) Diablo 2, Age of Empires 2.

This.

64 was the bomb, any kid who didn't have one had a failed childhood IMO.

Also have to mention Duke Nukem 64, awesome game.

I like the idea of splitting the generations, gaming has changed so much in just the last couple of year let alone decades;

N64/PS1/PC: Goldeneye, Mario Kart, NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid, Need for Speed, Age of Empires, Red Alert, Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem, Sim City 2000

PS2: GTA 3, GTA-Vice City, Gran Turismo 2 and 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus

PS3: Resistance: Fall of Man, Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare, Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2, Guitar Hero

-------------------

Hard to pick out games like Shadow of the Colossus compared to online behemoths like Resistance and MW2, so I figured my favourite game would be the one that gave me an experience that I will never forget;

Metal Gear Solid 2 - Sons of Liberty

Runner Up - Goldeneye
Bronze - Resistance: FoM

Fallout 3
Rome: Total War
Uncharted 1 & 2
Perfect Dark(I still haven't had as much multiplayer fun with a game then I did with this)
Age Of Empires Series
Rise of Nations
Goldeneye
Oblivion
Resident Evil 4 (the best RE games)

So many awesome classic games that I had a great time with when younger, but for some reason I will go with something more contemporary and say KOTOR.

Just had me completely hooked.

Omg, I can't believe I forgot about that! And I must've finished it at least 7-8 times. Light side every time :D.

Some already have been mentioned, Deus Ex and Counterstrike.

One that hasn't though, was Lakers vs. Celtics. Endless weekends playing this (and recording proper stats on a piece of paper) with a couple of friends.
