True, but the chances are much higher of it being crap. There are plenty of crap micros, just as there is plenty of crap small time bands, but at least, by and large, try to be interesting.

I agree that there are quite a few mainstream beers that are quite ordinary. However some have the attitude simply because it is mainstream.

It all comes down to taste an opinion. Like any food it changes from person to person. Not everyone will like the same beer just as not everyone likes beer. So I don't see the point in shooting someone down for liking a particular beer.

FWIW I don't mind Extra Dry (wouldn't go near any other form of Thooheys). CUB is ok if there is nothing else available. I guess they are the only Mainsteam beers I drink.

I don't like Extra Dry very much. I don't mind Tooheys Pils or Tooheys Old though.

There are still critical criterea to rate a beer on. Much like the music and movie industries.

I haven’t read this thread in its entirety so i do apologize if it’s been mentioned but last night I had a Bee Sting - Honey Wheat Beer from Barossa Valley Brewing.

It was a very nice beer to drink. Not as good as James Squires, James Boags or Coopers Pale Ale but will buy it again.

At least if you're going to drink tasteless girly beer, drink Sol which is exactly the same but half the price. Oh and don't forget to shove the watermelon, pineapple or other assorted fruit that you metro douches are putting in your beer these days.

TED's are better.
There is a reason you put a lemon in a Carona.
It hides the fact you are drinking fizzy water.

Exactly. Which makes it inferior.
I wouldn't rush out and buy TED's, but I don't find them as bad as most on here seem to.
