Australia really has crap clothes

Absolutely disagree. We have clothes that suit our environment and our lifestyle. We also have a different cycle than that of Europe and North America. Australian's would look stupid wearing some of the European stuff.

It is funny how people from the continent (or UK) always rave on about how far Australia is behind. They don't realise we have we are different. You go over there and they tell you that 'such and such' is so out of fashion, and then you look at some of their fashions and think, 'well that's been out of fashion in Oz for a good year or two'.

The Italians make me laugh. They may lead in the fashion stakes, but when I watch the serie A and see all their footballers running around with mullets and headbands, I crease up with laughter. It may be fashionable over there, but it isn't over here.

Korn: I suspect you are a victim and have been fed all this BS and never stopped to question it. Just worry about what's fashionable in OZ and don't fall victim to all that Euro fashion propaganda.

One more thing: have you seen the European (esp UK) fashion in swimwear? I'm sorry, but their beach fashion is absolutely ludicrous.

I only got the Colorados because a close friend of mine is a district manager for Williams (sub-company of Colorado) and she got them on her company discount card. They were damn cheap, but I will never wear a pair of Colorado shoes again.

What overseas brand do you like then Korn?
It's probably not the brands, more the styles. Seems Korn is a fashion victim of the highest order.

Or maybe Korn is from the sub-continent and prefers to wear socks and sandals with a suit?

Italy is the fashion capital of the world, but only because the Italians are very fashion conscious. walk through the streets of Milan or Rome and you'll notice how well everyone is dressed, while the badly dressed people are usually the tourists.

that is not to say that australia has "crap clothes". that is rubbish. we have some brilliant designers here: Calibre, Saba, Arthur Galan, Marc's, Wayne Cooper (menswear), Akira Isogawa, Lisa Ho, Collette Dinigan, Scanlan and Theodore (womenswear).

they design clothes that reflects our geographical location (asia) and with materials that suit our environment.

and that's not to say that everything the italians put out are good. Versace's gone majorly downhill since Donatella took over. most of her designs are not fit for a prostitute. and not all Italian labels have Italian designers; the head designer for Gucci is Tom Ford - a Texan.

Bottoms - Black/Navy footy shorts for summer, skin tight black denim jeans for winter.

Underwear - Bonds jocks straight from a multipack... preferrabably with a few moth holes for ventilation (I need it).

Shoes - Full length lace up ugg boots for winter, thongs for summer... and none of these new fancy leather thongs, I love the rubber, toe cutting type in white and colour of choice (red, blue or green). On really hot days I prefer going bare feet even when walking along a bitumen (sp) road

Accessories - pack of ciggies up the sleeve, motor grease on the hands, 3 day facial hair and a few dark front teeth.

I am a feral and proud.

Fashion is for the weak minded... who cares about brands and labels except those who are desperately seeking the approval of others.

SKC

Clothes - no particular brand as it just depends on wot looks good on me. I tend to lean towards surf company clothes - Billabong, Rusty, Ripcurl, etc etc. I got some smart casual wear for interviews and that, and they are of the van heusen brand.

Shoes - as above, but globe seems to have nice casual wear shoes, and Rivers has some good stuff too, for formal and smart casual wear.

Ansell is a good brand too, lots of variety there :D.

Clothes: I love Roxy...absolutely love them! Their clothes rock. And for sports clothes (netball/tennis/swimming/training) I like adidas, but go with Nike and Puma if adidas don't have what I'm looking for.
Shoes: Well, for runners I stick with Puma, they've been the best for my feet, especially playing netball. For school shoes I like Lipstik or Diana Ferrari, and for casual shoes...Candy are pretty cool, and cute too. For more formal shoes...I lurve Tony Bianco. That's what my deb shoes were, and they were awesome.

Can we mention make-up brands? Cuz I am absolutely obsessed with Kiss make-up! :p

Ever stopped to consider that those of us that buy branded clothes actually like the clothes we're buying?

It's not like I turn around and accuse people who don't buy brands of being cheap asses. Maybe they brought them cuz they like the clothes! I buy brands because I like what they make.

Clothes: Ben Sherman, Guess and Van Heusen.

Shoes: I wear Vans or Globe 'cos they are comfy, but I like a nice pair of Rockports.

Clothes- whatever i like. Usually sprotsgirl, dangerfield, myers, jeans from anywhere that has a pair that looks good. I have a few tops from surf shops but i find alot of their clothes boring. everyone wears them. I like to casual stuff, but i like to be a little bit original.

shoes- at the moment ..Gallaz runners, Sandler to get dressed up, thongs when it's warm.

makeup: caboodles, maybelline and bonne bell.

Most of my stuff comes from Lowes or Target (pronounced Tar-jay:eek: ).:o
I can't tell the difference between a $20 shirt and a $100 shirt other than the price tag; so I'll just pay the $20. The expensive brands don't last any longer and look identical. A fashion victim I ain't.

Grimace I have to agree with you on that DaDa brand that brand really *****es me off, as for those clothes from Supre I shop at Supre sometime's but those tops/jumper's etc that have "Princess"and "Angel" etc they're alright for teen's aged between 12-15 but when you're 16 and over that
It's a bit oh i don't know how to describe it. I know if I was 16+ I'd stop wearing those type of clothes.
