Only because we were playing on a bog that day that The Filth managed to get within 5 points - otherwise we’d win by 10 goals - Happy New Year. :thumbsu:

Most recent - tie between Patty Cripps game against Brisbane at Etihad - Teagues 1st game coaching. He was amazing that day his second half was incredible. And the Walshy/Kennedy 1-2 Walshy goal.
All time - The Brown dog’s tackle 99/Eddie’s goal of the year from the pocket against the filth.

'95 home and away match against Geelong at Princes Park. The game had everything: tough, skillful, close and the crowd at fever pitch the whole game.

Love it when they leave the ads in........"responsible shoe companies like nike"...........

And even then, Young and Francis weren’t far off the Norm Smith that day

I can't really remember much from our round 3, 2001 win against the *, but I have wanted to watch the game for a very long time. No Kouta. No Braddles. No SOS. They were full strength and had just come off a record breaking season...

Anyway, someone has put the last quarter up online and the pre game as well. Funnily enough we seemed to be their match during their dominant period there only faltering in the prelim the year before with injuries and again losing to them a few weeks before that with injuries during the game.

For as much as I despise Hird and all he did, he said once on Footy Classified in regards to the 2000 season that only 1 team could've beaten them, and that was us. He mentioned our injuries that derailed our season so at least was honest there...

Buzz's mark at PP one of the greatest moments; time appeared to stop and the crowd roared for ever

Blues arrogance in 95, we just couldnt lose (after those two shocking losses)

Koutas domination in 2000

And anytime Diesel touched the ball

I had to look up the pre game betting odds for the Grand Final because I remember once watching highlights for that GF and hearing that Geelong were actually pre game favorites. A bit strange considering our year.

I don’t get what point you’re trying to make? The odds seem to favour the teams that performed better during the year including Carlton for the 95 GF. Adelaide won both theirs as underdogs.

That Carlton and Geelong had the most evenly matched odds and we went in as the slightest of favourites compared to every other year through 2017.

Essendon lost to Richmond in the final round in 2001, still finished on top and then thrashed Richmond one week later in a qualifying final.

Given that we eliminated Essendon in the 99 prelim and beat them twice in 2001 questions were raised if Essendon tanked in the final round against the tigers to deny us the double chance and avoid facing us in the qualifying final.

We finished one win behind Richmond but had a much better percentage.
