growing up in the 90's I was definetly spoiled for choice and my favourites were:

Dragon Ball Z
The Simpsons
Pokemon

and my favourites now are:

Futurama
Family Guy
American Dad
and South Park
 
South Park, Dragonball Z, Simpsons, Futurama, Pokemon, Victor and Hugo (LOL), ahhh real monsters, Hey Arnold (move it football head! How could you not have it.), American dad, family guy, rocko's modern life, catdog, chip n dale and defs angry beavers haha.

I still like them all now and I am 21....new pokemon/simpsons are/is pretty lame though. God damn though I love Futurama so much its so damn good, I mean they all are but....Futurama and South park just stand out comedy wise, DBZ i love the fighting but the talking was a bit annoying, i like the storylines though.

Right now I would say:

1. Simpsons (seasons 1-10)
2. Futurama
3. South park. I thought South Park was going down hill a few seasons back but the last couple of seasons have been great.
 
Don't think anyone's mentioned what I reckons one of the funniest shows ever, Sealab 2021. Captain Murphy is the most insane character ever created. Some other less well known shows worth checking out are Metalocalypse, The Boondocks, Bro Town, Harvey Birdman & Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Most stuff from the Adult Swim network is pretty good.

In terms of my favourites:

  2. Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law
  3. American Dad
  4. South Park
  5. Futurama
  6. Sealab 2021
Too hard to rank after that.
 
Comedy - South Park (13 seaons maybe two bad episodes)
Other - Aeon Flux (bizarre yet brilliant)

Special mention to the the animated Batman series from the 90s and Daria.

yep loved both especially Batman:TAS very well made and had so many great episodes (mark hamill's joker!!). must buy it on dvd..

Man, I feel sorry for kids nowadays, our generation had the best shows...

Just bought the complete boxset a couple of months ago, wonderful stuff :)

Although Simpsons and South Park are brilliant and it is great to see someone put Victor and Hugo on, to say that Futurama is utter poo is not right. Fair enough about the first two that it may be repetitive/annoying humour, Futurama is so damn good, have you watched more than one episode?
 
Sailor Moon was awesome till she beat that ***** on the moon, then was slightly less awesome until chibi moon came along, then was fin terrible from then on.

at least, thats what i thought like 10 years ago
