He doesn't want to get too attached because of the very reliable rumours that he's due to be traded for Ellis Yeolman. Marsden is his real favourite because he's going to keep playing for The West Coast for another ten years at least without ever getting dropped. So he knows he can get completely emotionally invested in Masten and never face the prospect of seeing him play for another team.
