Favourite Newcastle goal

Philllipe Albert vs Man Utd in 1996, the chip over Peter Schmeichel from outside the box to make it 5-0 :D
Alberts chip

Shearer vs Everton in 2002 with that volley from outside the box
Shear Class

Big Dunc scores on the turn against Man Utd in 2000
Big Duncs Goal

There is too many to list, Laurent Robert vs Southampton at St. James in 2001 when he scores from a free kick about 40 yards out.

Laurent Robert vs Derby County in 2001 i think when he hits a free kick from the right hand side with his left foot and squeezes it in at the near post. We were 2-0 down in that game if i can remember and Lua Lua scored in the 90th minute to either win or draw the game.

Dyer when he kicked the ball on and then ran the hole half to slot it in, his pace is bloody amazing! That was against Everton at Goodison a few years back.

Charlie Nicholas , 2 very deflected goals v Liverpool, League cup Final as Arsenal announced that they were back in the pot winning buisness. Henrik Larsson scoring the goal that put Celtic on their way to their first League title since the centenary double, and thus, stopping the filth surpassing the 9-in-a-row. ( that ended alot of pain that one)
Micky Thomas @ Anfield.........
Any of Bergkamp`s masterpieces.
Have never seen it, but Kenny`s first in an old firm game. He was born a hun, his old man was die hard hun, his house overlooked the hun training ground but they didn`t want him, too small. Cut a long story short, first old firm game, penalty, King Kenny slots it home and the old man had to look away, priceless.

Overpriced injuryprone waster - £8,000,000

Waster's paypacket per week - £25,000

The look on Fergie's face following the only decent thing waster did for us?

Priceless :D

Great thread topic. Right off the bat I''ll go for:

- Matt Le Tissier's goal where he even managed a backheel over his opponent's head before scoring. An outrageous talent.

- Denis Bergkamp's goal in WC Semi-Final v. Argentina- in 1998, I think.

Premier League: Eider Gudjonson's acrobatic effort last season

International: Roque Santa Cruz in his full international debut against Mexico.

NSL: George Goutzioulis's volley for the sheep shaggers against the Spirit in NZ a couple of season ago.

Honourable mention for comic relief: Jonty Richter for Spirit against South Melbourne at Brookvale Oval last season

Gazza's goal for England vs Scotland in Euro 96. If memory serves McAllister penalty is saved by Seaman, goes up the field, Gazza flicks the ball over a Scottish defender (Hendry??) and smashes the ball into the bottom corner. Fantastic stuff.

Really thats funny because one of the ways you can score goals in soccer is by KICKING the ball into the back of the net which means you have kicked the goal
If you kicked the goal you would have a sore foot.

Euro 96 was a sensational tournament for class goals - I've still got the tape from when SBS screened a recap special later that year ;)

Gazza vs Scotland - As you say, played through, flicked over Hendry and volleys into the bottom corner past Goram.

McCoist vs Holland - 20 yarder into the topleft corner after a perfectly weighted ball laid into his path my Gary Mac.

Suker vs Denmark - "Can they find Suker?! They can!... Suker v Schmeichel... what trick can he come up with this time?!! OH MY WORD! OH MY WORD! That is a world class goal!" The commentary of that goal and the vision is seared into my memory. Stunning chip over the Great Dane by dazzling Davor.

Poborsky vs Portugal - Ball fell fortunately for him as he chipped Vitor Baia and sent his nation into the semis vs France.

Bestchasnykh vs Czech Republic - 35-yarder in a 3-3 draw. The neutrals got their moneys worth then.

Shearer vs Holland - At 2-0 and with Venables' men completely dominating the Dutch, Gazza had the ball wide on the left, rolled into the path of Sheringham who faked the shot and put it into the path of Shearer who smashed it like a thunderbolt into the top right corner... "IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER AND BETTER!"

Stoichkov's three for the tourney were specials as well... Can't remember the exact opponents but I think he dribbled with the outside of his foot unopposed through the middle of the Romanian defence to toe it past Bogdan Stalea.

Favourite goals? Oh, where do I start...

A lot of Matt Le Tissier specials, what a magic player he was. Philippe Albert's chip vs Man U, that was class too.
