Now that IP has kind of completed her favourite players votes, what about consideration of favourite moments of 2006. There's lots of candidates.

Mine was off-field. Boris Langdon was interviewing Murphy after he had a pretty scintillating game. Ok, I can't even remember the game but that's beside the point. Boris said to him he had been a bit stiff taking so long to come into the team.

Murph said straight off that he hadn't deserved a place at that time and that he hadn't been playing at the required intensity. It just stamped him as quality. You just knew he'd turned the corner. At 21.

Hasleby's late goal in the first derby was speeeeeeecial.

Hase goal in first Derby
Being there when the final siren went in the Semifinal, very special
Those are the two most special I was apart of

Boogate, and the associated wailing and hand wringing.

Being at the G and hearing the chant when we beat the pies.

The deafening noise in the 3rd qtr against the Dees in the finals.

Boogate Just amazed again that all the purple army stood together to voice their opinion, like when we cheered them off after the final against bombers it wasn't set up and everyone just felt they should do it.Noise from the crowd in the dees final.Being a part of the purple army that traveled to F.P. I was amazed at how many of us went.We always love hearing the chanting and cheering from the fans at the away games, just the passion they show.

Wiz taps over head, to Johno doing the soft shoe shuffle, then to Master Peake cruising by. Demo Derby (mark 06).

Sandi teaching some ex East Perth player by the name of White a rucking lesson (finals).

Good call Masai. Great memories.

Not an individual memory, but I think the way that the coaching group, players and management held the club together through the media harassment, and the "whispering siren" stuff was great.

Mine would have to be the first finals victory. Walking out of the ground after that game was incredible. :)

The Jokers top 3 Favourite moments of 2006

1. Drafting Clayton Collard at Number 31 (I thought they were playing a joke on The Joker)
2. Drafting Caleb Mourish at Number 77 (oh my god)
3. Drafting Brock O'Brien at Number 52

On a whole winning nine matches in a row, making the top four and winning our first final. Fremantle were unbeatable and, living in a town of 12,000 where I am probably one of two Docker supporters, it was fantastic!

Agree with Masai with 'that tap' - pure brilliance.

Sirengate was terrific for the sheer suspense and the fact that for once everyone was on Fremantle's side.

The looks of anger, annoyance, steely resolve and plain "this season's result was not good enough" on the players and coaches faces after the PF loss. Bring on 2007. I sense hunger. :thumbsu:

So do I IP.

Freo = The QLD State cricket team .

Supplied players to every other State, even WA has more 2nd string EX Qld bowlers tham home grown product,

It took 68 years to win the flag for QLD but have dominated since.

i would have to say both:
1 boo-judd
2 and the freo chant during the brawl at half time of the home and away match against the demons
3 sirengate

All good moments. I'll add the final siren at the last home game. Knowing we were headed into finals was a great feeling
