Spurs, And before you bag me Phat I was a fan way back before the Championship days.

Got a Spurs cap for my birthday in Year 10 (1992) after telling my old man about a bloke named David Robinson when I was teaching dad that teams other than the Lakers and Bulls existed.

I tried to get an Avery Johnson original singlet when my mate went to the US in 94 (I'd always been # 6) but he couldn't find one, so I ended up with an (Original Pistons) Grant Hill # 33 instead.

It was so good when TD came to Spurtown, and to think we could have Kobe there next year as well!!!!

Never bagged anyone personally for being bandwagoners because i don't know their situations, just find it amazing that 90% of people support the three big teams, yet all claim to be lifelong supporters.

10-15 years ago, you couldn't find a Spurs or Bulls fan anywhere.

10-15 years ago everyone was a Bulls fan, that's why I wasn't.

When i was growing up (mid to late 80's), no one supported the Bulls, their bandwagon got full in the early 90's.

As for the Spurs, i hadn't met a Spurs fan until about 5 years ago. Their support base has grown exponentially in the past few years.

I really only started to follow the NBA this year. I followed it a bit last year, I went for the Hornets as me mate persuaded me to go for them. But since then, my two favourite players in Bibby & Webber both play for Sacramento, so I can't help to follow them. I really do go for both I suppose....

I've been following the Lakers since the arrival of the Magic Man.

Me too. Used to watch NBA back in 1982 on Channel 7, Sunday mornings at 9am (how's that memory for an old man).

First game I saw was Lakers v 76ers. Magic dominated and I became a Laker fan. I still wear my Magic cartoon t-shirt to this day.

Lucky for me Dr. J didn't tear it up!

Sonics for me..

I satrted playing NBA Jam at the arcades back in 1992. Kemp was rated the best dunker in the game (which he pretty much was in RL too at the time). Lived in Canada for a year in 93-94, and got to go down and see The Glove and Reignman (as well as my favorite, D. Schrempf) play the Suns (with Sir Charles).

Excellent game. I still have my Sonics cap bought at Key Arena that night.

Been a fan ever since.

Ages ago, yes-- but fantastic memories nonetheless.

I have to admit, that was the most fun I've had watching a team without worrying about championships, playoffs, or really bad records. The Warriors, right when Don Nelson was getting the first signs of that chemistry together, that team was as much fun to watch as anything in my living memory.

It was Sonics in the Late 80's(Ellis and the mighty X-man)

Changed to 76's for a bit(Stack plus i thought Sharone Wright was going to be the biggest n***a in the house for little while)

Probably still the Bail Raisers/Pot Blazers/Trial Blazers now(Sabas,JR,plus Clyde,Buck,Terry and Jerome in the day)

When i go back to my late 80's annuals i look at all those teams and remember the ABC games on Friday night and realise i liked the whole goddamn leauge!!

Second time Uncle Cliffy has had a massive game in the past week.

What's he now? 38?

And happily on my fantasy team. :D

However, Van Exel's on the injured list now. But Foyle's been activated.

Not sure how much PT Adonal's going to get, with both Robinson and Dampier in good form. He might split time down the middle with Dampier, that might be his best shot.

They were bringing Murphy back slowly and Foyle's still not 100% fit, so he wouldn't expect many minutes for a couple of weeks.
