Hi guys

I am stll lurking around and not in bed sorry bedford, so thought i would make a thread that does not involve 100 crows fans telling us how it is.

Who is your favourite swans player of all time and why? If they are not a current player who is your current favourite maybe you have a few? I would love to hear some stories from fellow swannies

lol me too. After Capper left I remember playing kick to kick and my mates would be Dunstall, or Ablett or Lockett or Modra and I'd be Simon Minton Connell.

Least we were probably closer to the skill level of the player we were emulating.

I remember grade 5 start of the year bragging werner hutton and minton connell were a premiership winning forward line

lol Minton Connell. I always remember him for his big bushy eyebrows. And when i think back to his playing days i always have this image of Jennifer Connelly, except with short hair.

Have had a few...

My first favourite player was MOL absolutely loved that man.

Second was Leo (Distant relative...) and after that Kennelly (Fathers side of the family is all Irish...)

MOL
Barry
Kennelly
Williams

These four players are my past favourites.

Currently I have a Man Crush on LRT, McVeigh (Obviously), And will always love Bolton and Goodes

When I first started watching the Swans in the mid to late 90s when I had no idea what was going on - it was Troy Luff. I thought he was an absolute jet, could play back or forward, kicked a few bags when Plugger was out.

Of the current players I don't think I have a standout as I love them all so much. The closest one would probably be Nick Malceski, watched him all the way from his start into the ressies. He wore number 40, played in the midfield and I was totally mesmerised by his kicking, it was unlike anything I had ever seen before. Sadly he doesn't really have that bullet like kick any more since his LARS surgery. Actually missed watching his first game live - it was against Carlton in 2005, the same day my dad passed away - and I've always maintained a soft spot for him ever since.

I remember luff kicking 6 in 95 when plugger was injured iirc he could play

Favourite player, or favourite player to watch?

Right now my favourite to "watch" would be Jetta. But all time I'd vote for Lockett. Loved watching Plugger. Probably the most talented player I've ever been able to support in Red and white. But I wouldn't say he was a personal "favourite" as such.

My favourite would probably be some sort of ungodly Kel, Goodes, Kirk, Jude mash-up. :D

I looked up to David Rhys Jones as a kid I had a similar build and scraggy blonde hair and I tried to play like him.. in my age group of course. I was always hanging off him at training before he got his first senior game when he was in the under 19's at lakeside..He had an aura was always gonna be a star.. I was shattered when he left to the Blues, Bernie Evans too they were my favourites as a kid.

As an adult that knows alot more now, I couldnt pick one as there are way too many both before and during my time..
