Or teams. I like Brisbane and Hawthorn. I tipped the Lions for the flag last season and about half way through 2024. Ditto hawthorn in 2008 after their round 1 demolition of Melbourne. Always liked their players even the lesser known ones like Aaron Lord, Daniel Harford, Richard Taylor, Minton-Connell etc. I like their style of footy. When you predict and punt on teams to win and they come through it's always a nice feeling. But I like their style and enjoy watching them play.

Besides my own? I suppose i have a soft spot for Essendon because i grew up in the Moonee Ponds area and the majority of my friends all barracked for them. I saw them play a lot at Windy Hill, but make no mistake whenever Geelong did beat them up there it was like winning the Grand Final. Other than that... i don't really like any other team!

Followed the Hawks in the VFL before West Coast joined the AFL. This was from following Subiaco in the WAFL since I was young, and as the Hawks had the same colours, I always followed them in the VFL. Still loosely follow them, but getting hard as Sam Mitchell is a bit of a gronk.

Not a fan of Hokball? Stupid phrase.

Met him at a charity event he seemed arrogant, woosha was an absolute gent and sumich chatted away no problem.
Just realised I posted in the wrong thread lol. I forgot I met Sumich too he was a real nice guy. Laid back and down to earth. Remembered I met Jakovich also. He was a decent guy.

I admired the Dees of the '50's
Then I always had a soft spot for Tommy Hafey and his Tiges who played the MCG to a treat.
Kennedy's Commandos went well, Jeans gets too much credit for the '80's Hawks but they were great to watch.
Malty's Eagles were superb to watch and Blight's Crows. I begrudgingly remember Sheedy's Bombers of '84-85 (mainly Leon Baker!)

In the Naughties it was finally the Lions turn when Lethal took them to the promised land (as he'd done for us already) and that 2001-03 team was easily the greatest team I'd witnessed since Norm Smith's Dees. The lions had everything, they were fast, brutally talented and ruthless like their coach.

Loved seeing the Doggies get up in 2016, respected the Tiges wins but never really got onboard with their 3 peat (against who???) and now.....

I like watching GWS play (when they go fast) they flip it around a bit, but I'm back respecting and enjoying the way Brissy go about it (other sides try to match it but they can't).

Geelong of 2020 were good. I thought they were the one to watch out for along with Richmond particularly after they lost narrowly away to West Coast missing Selwood and I think Ablett.

Lachie Neale.
