I saw a blatant "like" fishing status update last week due to one of my fb friends liking it...

"Click like if you hate cancer"

Who's on the other side of that debate?

One incredibly attention seeking guy that I know:

"damn kids playing tennis near my car again, it's a road not a playground!"

Gets a comment back saying "your childhood must've been dull"

He responds with "wow your parents must've been selfish irresponsible ****wits who didn't give a shit about anyone else's property"

Status gets about 60 comments with him arguing that all kids need to respect their elders (he's 20), with a few FIGJAM comments chucked in along the way, such as "Rory I work in real estate so have a good car" :D

Unfortunately the girls love this guy more than he loves himself so he got about 20 likes for that comment. One of those self-indulgent pretentious twats that posts every day but even a status like "omg im bored" will get 50+ likes and just fuel his huge ego.

LOL :D this comment deserves a thread of its own ie young real estate agents. Smarmiest little arrogant pricks you'll ever meet. Unless you're a director or something, agents make $400 p/w plus whatever commission they make.

Every cent these young blokes make goes towards financing their 10 year old "prestige" vehicle.

That comment is a little naive.

Sure, a big amount of agents are not that good at their jobs, but there's plenty of first years out there that would earn 100+k.

I know an experienced agent who, is not the director 'or something' and is earning 400+kpa.

They do earn $400 p/w before commsions. And for every bloke you know who makes $400k p/a there's dozens who make 3 fifths of **** all. I'm in the construction industry so I deal with a lot of these blokes daily. They seem to change offices more often than you change your jocks. If they were all doing so brilliantly why are they moving around so much?

Anyway, if you read my post carefully, you should see that I specifically mention young real estate agents. How many young blokes that finish high school without getting a uni or tafe placement go into Real Estate? They're a dime a dozen. And they're arrogant cause they wear a suit.

Agent on 400k+ is a ripper bloke, a massive part of why he does so well.

Understand what you're saying, Barry. I wasn't saying you were wrong, but just that it was naive to not think there's plenty of people out there doing well (and quickly) within real estate.

I wear a suit every day and I'm not arrogant. (I'm a sales man, but not real estate.)

Well I suppose it goes without saying that there's people making good money in any industry. But I honestly think there's a disproportinately high number of shit-kickers (and shit talkers) in real estate than other industries. But I could be wrong.

And I'm not having a go at people who have to work suits for work (i've had to do it in the past but would slit my wrists if I had to ever do it again :D). I guess what I was trying to say is that some of these young blokes (in my experiece anyway) seem to think they're it and a bit cause they're in a suit and drive a 1998 316i BMW while others their age are studying or learning a trade.

I guess you could say I have minimal respect for real estate agents. I make no apologies for that :D

Seems that way lol. But you're right, I know of a friend of a friend who is on my facebook who posted a picture of a 15 year old 5 series he'd just bought - and you guessed it, he's in his first year of real estate.

Couldn't agree more.

I personally know 2 sales people who earn 300k+ but they have been in the industry for over 30 years.

What's even more annoying about this guy is he doesn't even work at one of the renowned RE companies in SA (Toops, Brocks, Klemich etc) he works out of his bosses house where it's just him, his boss and one other. No one would have ever heard of it. But you're right, he wears a suit, talks about the market like he knows what he's talking about and thinks he's tops because of it.

I'd write a smart ass reply like what's your problem with people born between June 21 to July 22
