Just noting that while Qooty 10.0 ballooned out to a 300mb space-eater, Qooty 10.1 (not far away), will only need about 30mb (not counting league files). Received feedback on queries re reducing the size.

I am attending to :
- ridiculous size of download
- lack of an obvious file to click to run the program
- serious bug when path has a space in its name
- forum friendly commentary

You will notice, when using Qooty, that if you "File League" it asks you to confirm the drive is ready.

That's a hangover from the days when it was a good idea to put any archival stuff onto a floppy

Yes sorry my images were not meant to be floppy disks ... they were just some posterity photos of early qooty.

I didn't have any prior-to-version 3 photos, dunno if they were 5&1/4s or 3&1/2s.

I do have photos of other basic programs of mine on 5&1/4 though.

Anyways, on topic (actually, off topic for a little bit: I was forced to use floppy disks for school progjects only 5 years ago) I like the colours Mobbs, that works well. I already use red for special comments because it stand out more, but I guess not every game will have special comments.

Red really stands out, so it's good for those annotations, but you have to balance that against whether its worth saving for something that won't be used terribly often during the season.

eg. IF action=shotongoal AND time < 25:00, endtime=endtime+0:01
ELSE end quarter

Something like that.

I'm not sure it does. Mobbs will correct if I'm wrong but I'd say the in-game clock could have recorded that first kick (the goal) as something like 24.599 in the quarter, which rounds up to 25 and makes it a legal play. The second one could have been at 25.001 through the quarter which also rounds to 25 but is fractionally after the 'siren' and thus not a legitimate kick.

Though I'm not the one who made it.

It might be something done on purpose because it creates banter but i'm not really a fan of it.

It's not done on purpose. The code would have to be twice as long to rectify it

You have to put it down to something like umpires called time early, or the kick never made the goal line.

Why is it that some players seem to be simmed in different positions, then what they originally should be?

Sometimes if a player is named in the centre, they might be playing FP or FB etc.

They start where they are put, but they get moved randomly during the game.
