That fantastic game where we coughed up an 8 goal half time lead to Melbourne is on Fox Footy at 7.30pm WST tonight.

I was pretty much crying out of anger and frustration at the final minutes of that match, I was literally seconds away from putting my fist through my brand new Bravia LCD. What made it all the more frustrating is my now fiance' just doesn't get footy and couldn't fathom my frustration. She was pretty much shrugging her shoulders about it and telling me to calm down. DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!!!!

it is this game that will forever have me wishing annihilation upon the dees whenever we play them. last year's game at the G just reinforced it.

I distinctly remember Den saying: Can Melbourne fight their way back into this one? I highly doubt it.

Oh well, it makes years like this one all the sweeter, where everything goes to hell in a hand basket for them.

My wife doesn't get it either. I put my fist through my marble coffee table when Palmer broke Barlow's leg.

'You can always replace a coffee table but you can't replace an A Grade player' I said is a slightly annoyed voice.

Those tendons in your hand might be a little more difficult to replace than the coffee table as well :p

Game wasn't on any TV or radio station in NSW, so listened to it via the internet. Sitting in the lounge room with a laptop and headphones on swearing in disbelief was not my favourite footy moment.

Contrast that to listening to the first derby of 2006 at around 4am in London, that was fantastic.

Also reminds me of how far the internet has come in such a short time.

I remember watching the 1st half on the box and then having to leave to go to a wedding. Nipping out my car in the late 4 th Q for a score check, i was in a state of disbelief.

Ahh yes that one has a special place etched out in the memory banks.

If I recall correctly at half time it seemed to be a case of how much we would win by - at that time a thought that should never have dared cross a freo supporters mind.

Then it started and once it started there was a feeling of inevitability about it. It was like watching a disaster unfold before your eyes. Nothing could be done except witness the horror and devastation. I would have felt much worse after the game but I think my brain blanked out much of the event as can happen in times of great trauma.

Nice summation. It was horrific. All I can remember is Austin Woenamerri kicking them from everywhere..

One of my first games I watched live when I moved to Melbourne. :(

I was so excited at half time and texting my new co worker who was a Melbourne supporter, but then copped it hard when I got into work in Monday.

That made me a sad panda.
