Feeling a bit rejected

I have known this girl for a few months now and after having a few beers on saturday night i finally got the courage to ask her out. And yes the yeah i only see you as a mate line came up. And the worst part is that after pussy footing around for 2 months the rejection hurts all that bit more. My mates have all told me yeah move on she doesen't like you that way but i can't let it go.

Anybody who can relate to this or has had this line thrown at them and then got with the girl eventually? Yeah i am living in hope.

I have never ever turned down a offer for a date from a girl, I just cud never do it, havin had it done to me a few times at the age of 14 I cudnt do it to someone else, I even went out with a girl I well and truly hated with a passion for 3 weeks cos I thught Id may aswell see what happens and it didnt work out thankfully (she agreed but I honestly cud of tried harder

). IMO just dont do it at all, one date cant hurt no matter how much you like or dislike the person.

Be glad that she was being honest and said no. Its better she said no than lead you on, while you plied her with dinners, the whole box and dice, etc before she said no. Now, that really sucks.

Don't fall for the "She'll eventually come round" fallacy. If you act like you don't really give a damn, you probably have a better chance than continuing to pursue her.

Be friends with her, if you can - hanging out with girls is a great way to meet other girls - but let this one go. Yeah, it hurts and you'll probably get hurt again but it's all part of building who you are.

They say most guys have had their heart broken at least once by the time they reach 21 - so, know that you're not alone and stay strong.

Cut your losses and cut her out of your life.

You never get the girl once they have said that. Best course of action in the future with these "friends" is just one drunken night move in for a kiss, dont talk just do.
If you get shut down..you can blame it on the alcohol.

Exactly the same situation I went through mate. I liked this girl at school for quite a while and after putting it off for ages I finally decided to ask her out. The response I got was ‘you’re a good mate’, the worst line ever as far as I’m concerned. Yeh people told me to move on but I couldn’t stop thinking about it for ages, I was depressed for a little while. A few months later and I’m not with the girl but I’ve let it go and no longer feel bad about the situation. Of course I would have preferred to have been with the girl but there will be others. Good luck mate.

Why don't you try "The divert Flirt". This method involves you taking interest/flirting with other girls in front of this 'friend'. If it works she will get jelous and want to ride you. If she says something "Good luck" get the ******** out of there cos she really isn't keen.

The divert flirt worked with me when I banged the housemate of one of these 'friends'. this 'friend' was so keen after that it really worked a treat.
