Wasn't his hardest opposition tonight but the man is a star. Had a bad season but could well be leading the Coleman after 11 rounds.

I think it's the sixth time in his career he's kicked 8 goals. Surely he's got to break through and kick 9 eventually?

He's not that incredibly committed. He's just very talented. If he was that committed he wouldn't get into all the trouble he does. And he wouldn't go around smoking and drinking every week.

Wasn't he the one that insisted Carlton pay players outside the salary cap? I'm pretty sure he was in charge of our recruiting policy for a few years too? And rumor is fact, it's Fevola's signature on the bottom of Carlton's stadium deal with Etihad Stadium.

Posted this elsewhere but

Before this game, Fev had only received 6 free kicks for the year and given away only 5. He's now 10 FFs and 5 FAs.

At the same stage last year, he had received 13 FFs and 20 FAs. He gave away atleast 1 free in every match last season. This season, his most per game is 1 FA, which has happened 5 times.

I think he's only given away the 1 free kick in the last 6 games. Has become a lot more disciplined with his tackling and is no longer giving away frees for late hits.

It's funny this year he's been more consistent in every area of his game bar 1.....goal kicking

Also with the added strength for the first time in his career he's more than just a hard leading forward, he is really quite good at contested marks.

Hopefully he starts to hit form and we can have a blinder in the 2nd half of the year.

Sad that you don't appreciate that you are watching arguably the best FF Carlton have ever had. Our team/forward line is nothing without him - this is not a good thing but thank god we have got him
